Whey worse. :D

Lmao, same. I've done a full playthrough 50+x since 1997, and only realized this in one of my last playthroughs. I only discovered the ribbon at Gaea's cliff a few years ago. And in my very last one a few months ago I learned about swapping entire rows of materia. Literally never knew that.

Of course, this all leads to the Gold Chocobo; there needs to be at least one location which is only accessible using a Gold Chocobo. It doesn't necessarily need to gatekeep KOTR, but give us a location which may be viewable via the Highwind but is inaccessible without a Gold Chocobo. 3/3

It provides a reason and incentives for its addition as a requirement for exploration and discoverying new secrets. Maybe Junon now needs a Chocobo which can climb mountains AND has a water jet to navigate Lifestream pools. Maybe Cosmo Canyon needs climbing AND gliding to navigate. Etc. 2/3

Of course, there's Gilgamesh, but I'm confident he'll be a Weiss-like post game battle since it seems like he's set to return after Cloud finally defeats Sephiroth. Then again, he tried to summon Excalibur (but failed), and there's a dozen different ways to interpret that.

Otherwise, there are potentially 3 from OG which seem a little out of place. If they kept the Bahamut summons as knights, Chocobo & Moogle, Hades, and Typhon/Typhoon would seem a little out of place as protectors of the planet and could be swapped out.

In OG there were the 3 Bahamuts (regular, Neon, Zero), KOTR, and 12 others (and the Master, of course). Maybe P3s KOTR would be the OG 12 + Arthur? While we gain the Bahamut summons in Remake and Rebirth, it's also canon we battle against them as endgame bosses and in Advent Children.

One could argue that summons were protectors of the planet alongside Weapons and the Cetra. While at this point more than 13 exist throughout the compilation and Remake trilogy, it would be an interesting take on KOTRs origin. The math isn't perfect by any means, but...

I'm nowhere near 100% on this, but its an interesting concept.

We learn via Red's trial that the Cetra and Gi communicated - it could have been a topic of conversation. It's been speculated that the creation of the Black Materia could have been what lured Jenova to the planet in the first place - which would explain the Cetra's "intolerance," as per Gi Nattak.

Exactly. Otherwise, what's the point? I'd also say that's what made Rebirth so special, at least for me. 130+ hours of indulgence, wish fulfillment, and bliss.

Oh, absolutely. But personally, in my mind, it's all canon. I wish we could all calm down and just enjoy things. Either way, it's fantastic that multiple worlds being a plot point is further emphasized by the game's own replayability for different scenes.

Probably one of my favorite vids thus far, and a fitting conclusion - or temporary suspension - to Rebirths story. Who knows what additional context Evercrisis will continue to provide.

Oh, I'm not saying switch them around, but if you have a tight schedule I completely get it. I'm saying take a 10 minute breather and start over with the workout you had planned. #ISYMFS

Not the wrong workout. Just a bonus one.

Non-leveled starter materia only Starting weapons (and Weapon Abilities) only Starting accessories only Starting armor only 0 crafting completed 0 QB completed 0 quests completed 0 Chadley content/rewards It's going to be a miserable, parry-heavy Hard Mode playthrough. I can't wait.

I'm sure the PC release will lead to some insane difficulty mods and it will probably take some time to build them. Either way, console gamers will need to make our own fun. For anyone curious about how to setup their own difficult NG+ runs, here's the setup:

Metaphor: ReFantazio will go down as one of the best and most important games of this generation. Critically, it is a 9.9/10. My personal rating doesn't matter. I'm glad I played it despite it not resonating with me, and I will continue to recommend it to others whom I'm confident will love it.

This was not aided by being able to figure out the big twist within the first couple hours of gameplay. It made the story drag and further magnified what I would consider already extremely poor mid-game pacing issues. However, none of my complaints take away from it being an incredible game.

This game was not for me, but I knew this going in. I don't enjoy modern TB combat, I don't enjoy the art style, and I actively dislike the dialogue technique of pick-and-choose voice acting; FFXVIs combat and story kept me playing after the same dialogue technique almost made me quit.

Lmao that's perfect. Excellent work.

Agreed. I'll never forget the first time I stumbled upon the hidden Ribbon room in the Great Glacier in FF7. Because it was last year. I've 100%'d the OG 50+ times and never knew it was there. I have the original Brady Games guide; there's SO many secrets they missed. It's actually insane.

At the end of the day, the Remake project, once complete, will have likely taken over 12 years and across potentially 3 console generations. It's going to go down as one of the most ambitious gaming projects in history, and will likely be considered - pun intended - as Square's living legacy.
