I need some work doing on my bathroom so a few days ago I phoned a local tradesman called "Plymouth Mastic Man". I have now spent the last three days singing "How I Called Mastic Man" to the tune of www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7mp... #TheFall

I've just read the entire unanimous supreme court judgement on wild camping on Dartmoor. I'm no lawyer, but it's clearly 20 pages of legal speak for "please fuck off and stop wasting our time with this utter nonsense".

At 9.45am tomorrow the supreme court rules on whether a multi-millionaire hedge fund manager can stop people from wild camping on his land in Dartmoor National Park. Whether he wins or loses, I fully intend to continue wild camping on the moor, leaving no trace and enjoying sleeping under the stars.

Submissions are open until 30th May for our new "Flow" art and photo zine. How you interpret the brief is up to you but we always love seeing bold and original work which challenges traditional landscape views of Dartmoor. Full details in the link: bit.ly/flowzine (Image by @simonblackbourn.net)

I recently decided to buy a 'sensible' bike, sold my Cannondale gravel bike and got this Bombtrack. My back is far happier now I'm sitting very upright with wide flat bars (also great in traffic), it's got super low gears for pootling around and getting up Devon hills, a brilliant hub dynamo...

Experimenting with some long exposure shots while cycling back home along Drake's Trail yesterday. Lots of failures, but I really like this one. -- #photography #dartmoor

On a scale of 0 to 10 my likeability rating for Starmer is currently at -62

I've never really listened to much of The Fall's later stuff, but judging by this blistering performance I really should youtu.be/F19wbaOmSTQ?...

I've helped organise a popup art exhibition upstairs from Almanac Cafe in Plymouth as part of Plymouth Urban Tree Festival. Open today and next Wed-Sat 11-4. It's a really lovely collection of tree-themed art and photography. I'll be there 12-2 today and Wed if you want to say hi 😊

Decided to go for a nice, gentle, relaxing bike ride after work to bits of the city I've not been to before. Turns out that Plymouth has several neighbourhoods with hills that make Dartmoor look like a gentle bump. Not sure I'll be able to walk tomorrow.

Not too shabby a spot to stop for breakfast #Dartmoor

Please read & share this, it took me ages. This is a project I was trying (and failing) to get funding for for a year. I came close, but I wanted to write it up anyway and share some of the photos because I think it's important to get them out there. #Photography open.substack.com/pub/mariegar...

We're excited to announce an open call to #Dartmoor visual artists, printmakers and photographers for our 4th zine, entitled 'Flow'. Exploring themes of change, movement and time, the zine will feature words by artist and writer Kirsteen McNish. Follow the link to find out more: bit.ly/flowzine

Morning all. A quick heads up that we have some very exciting news for #Dartmoor artists and photographers incoming this evening. Stay tuned for more details...

Living the Instagram life

Decided to give myself a break from all the nonsense going in the world by watching a film. Maybe 'The Road' wasn't the best choice.

Just chatted with someone who never watches or reads any news. As in none, never, ever. She knows Trump is president, but had no idea what him & Musk have been up to, and was oblivious to what's happened the last couple of days. Part of me was quite envious, but I just couldn't be that disconnected.

New Wet Leg single. Spoiler alert: it's bloody great www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Kjz...
