Not ‘is suffering’. Has always suffered. My dad brought me up with the idea that the U.K. only ever looks short term at stuff. Other countries seem to look long term, U.K.- never.

British don’t have the ability to be honest with themselves about being conned by rich people. If they did, the royal family would have been got rid of years ago🤷🏼♂️. The Brits like being poorer because of rich people, it’s a national characteristic.
