My U15s played a Cup Final there last year and I reckon we had a better atmosphere than I’ve experienced on matchdays. Mind you a large chunk of that was my 12yo chanting “5-1 on your big day out” to the opposition parents, as our boys won at a canter.😂

It’s a depressing indictment of society, and fundamentally society’s loss as well. What particularly bothers me is that so much change could be achieved without the need for funding or legal protections, just better social values and a belief in the importance of change.

I’m always telling people that disabled people need allies but it’s hard to get people to shout about issues which affect people like my son. Someone recently said it’s not ‘sexy’ enough and it made me cringe. I never thought abortion rights were sexy but I’ve always shown my support.

That’s such a shame, but it is very dependent on cultural expectations. And that is led from the top in my experience. We encounter the other side, which I quite enjoy calling out, politely of course.

I think the professional game & youth football can be worlds apart. Coaching U15s & using football as an educative vehicle for these young men can be really powerful, and their behaviour is worlds away from the paid men. I also see how my youngest is nurtured at the more selective level he plays at.

It’s also really frustrating that his IQ and ADHD are mentioned, as if they are somehow material to his appalling actions. Sadly something that is becoming a pattern of behaviour in the reporting of acts of violence.

Yes, but we have found that items need to be comparatively priced or even competitive in relation to what is already on there. Worth looking up items similar to what you want to sell and seeing if you’d be happy with the price.

We have found Vinted really easy to use, but prices can be extremely low for anything that isn’t branded, and sometimes for those that are.

Skin in the Game, by Nicholas Taleb. I much prefer non-educational books for developing my thinking, but in terms of educational books, then Inclusion is dead, long live inclusion by Peter Imray and Andrew Colley. Both are good provocations.

The attacking press is impressive, but its combination with the speed of defensive retreat is exceptional. But agree it can’t be sustained at that intensity.

Newly published accounts reveal the eye watering amounts of money being paid to Abu Dhabi via a UK company called Witherslack, one of the biggest providers of children’s social care and education.

Still a few years to go before we can think about relocating or buying. But it is the hope. 🤞

Clearly a man with a good eye for a cultural icon! Whereabouts you thinking? We are quite keen on somewhere around Sheringham. Ideally walking distance to the sea. 🤞

We do it so parents can see who is working with their children and put a face to a name. It also helps when interacting with their children at home if the original staff list sent home has been lost.

I quite like them par cooked and then marinated in a balsamic vinaigrette. Baby leeks work well like this too.

It is. And an area where we should be really investing in teacher to teacher CPD is SEND, with locality based partnerships between the specialist sector and mainstream for mutually beneficial knowledge exchange. Change driven by those evidencing successful application in the classroom.

The Wonder Stuff at Aston Villa Leisure centre in 1990. Went on the train with a mate from school. Ned’s Atomic Dustbin were one of the support acts and saw them in Bristol
a couple of weeks back.

Would they consider Chania in Crete? It’s an extraordinary ancient Venetian port town with a beach ten minutes walk away. A lovely place and not too pricey. We stayed at the Hotel Casa Leone and absolutely loved our time there.

Hmmm, well it should have been. It’s the only way.
