Definite scam. Bluesky don't give out verified status at random, you need to fill in a form to apply for it. Plus that dodgy-looking domain name? Seems to have been taken down.

Woodcuts are cool (as are linocuts if anyone remembers them), but nobody play Duke Nukem 3D anymore? Runs fine in DOSBox :)

Happy anniversary to you both! :)

Wasn't it originally meant to have been broadcast on April 1? Rather obviously a mockumentary to today's audience, not least because of the appearance of Richard Marner ('Allo 'Allo's Colonel von Strohm) as a university professor, but still great viewing if you have an hour to kill :D

Not the Shuttle, when there are those bigly beautiful SpaceX rockets... Sure there's another test flight due soon and who knows, it might not explode this time ;)

As far as I know the only connection between Noddy Holder and Magna Carta is that they are both in the same issue. (Well, that and when I was a child I owned a Slade album and a copy of MC...)

The Lottery numbers are from a javascript thing I wrote and Little Jennifer is... well... Little Jennifer. ;) The graphic is based on something from the On This Day. Thanks. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it, and yes, Spud is a real star. :D

Same with the obits, although I also go through Wikipedia's list of deaths. The On This Day is also mostly based on Wikipedia (but I have a list of ones I always include). Words of Wisdom is usually related to On This Day. Film quotations are mostly via IMDb. [cont]

Weird World News is mostly just trawling through news sites and mailing anything interesting to myself to write up later - it's split basically into "animals", "history", "crime", "climate/environment" and "in brief", with occasional topical or updates. [cont]

The second episode, Visitations, scared the hell out of 10.5-year-old me (in a good way); I never forgot it. Bought the DVD set a few years ago and it still does... :D

I had a joke about Tantalus, but nobody got it...

Had a holiday there many years ago. Walked up the valley to the Trümmelbach Falls, most of which are inside the mountain. Stunning place. The valley is also thought to have inspired Tolkien's depiction of Rivendell.

Sounds like a sure-fire way to turn children against religion. :)
