Standard Times reporting. Make stuff up to suit my point.

Yes but that’s not counting all the people watching the average UCL match illegally. No fucker would be on a dodgy fire stick to watch Infantino’s vanity project.

Bottom line is most football fans couldn’t give a shit about this tournament. Football fans always find a way to attend if the demand is there. It’s simply not there. Nobody wanted it.

What a match. Sensational sport.

Good read David. In the context of owners of English clubs (a very very low bar), they have to be seen as excellent owners. They aren’t how I would want Liverpool to be owned in my ideal world, but we don’t live in that world.

Atletico is a great move for him. A team and coach that love older players and the fans will love his energy.

‘Avoid war’ have you been asleep for 50 years? Britain is almost permanently at war somewhere. The US military industrial complex demands it and Starmer and Labour are balls deep in that.

A lot of Liverpool fans seem to think we can upgrade at left wing. I really don’t think they realise just how good Gakpo and Diaz are.

I’m sure the racists and permanently oblivious who subscribe to the Times will lap this up. Not sure about the rest of humanity.

Zack Polanski because he talks like a human being, with ideas and passion, gives honest answers, and has policies I believe in.

There is zero chance Nelson has moved his opinion. He just knows that Farage actually has a chance of becoming PM at the next election, so it’s best to keep the racism in the background to ensure that happens. Then it will be full Police state.

Image perfectly incapsulates Chelsea’s attitude to footballers. Plastic Subbuteo pieces to be swapped out for a new one when they are broken.

The kind of people who call places like Liverpool a shithole are the same kind of people who say they love their country. Weird how patriots hate so much of the country and its people.

If you follow the LFC channel on WhatsApp then you get notifications that way. Decent way to avoid South African Mr Burns. LFC really should get on Bluesky tho.

Exactly. Fans just want to watch the games they want to watch for a reasonable price. No fan can do that in the current format. You either do the legal route if you can afford it and feel robbed and have to pay for a load of games you aren’t interested in, or you do the illegal route. So fuck Sky.

We just live in a permanent election cycle now. No ideas, no long term plan, just endless pursuit of power aided and abetted by a media that only functions to aid or destroy that power depending on who is deemed important or dispensable that week. ‘But why are the electorate not engaged in politics’

I see where you are coming from, but how Slot has used his 9’s this season suggests he wants an all rounder not a pure finisher. That said, it’s hard to see us spending £110m on Wirtz and £80m on Ekitike (as well as full backs etc).
comment in response to

What I like about Ekitike is his creates chances for others. Núñez has his fair share of assists for LFC but I feel Ekitike’s all round game is more Bobby Firmino than Michael Owen. I can cope with missed chances if the all round game is elite.

They probably have £100m and are spending £62m of it on Cunha who has 15 goals from 7xg 🤣🤣🤣 it’s absolutely glorious stuff

Have a think about what this actually means, and what this government appears to believe “subversion” is.

A nice consensus on “I’m afraid Gary Lineker’s extreme views are too incendiary for the BBC” at the same time as we’re getting “I think you’ll find there are key differences between the Prime Minister’s comments and the Rivers of Blood speech” makes it pretty clear what’s been happening, does it not

Only 3 home clean sheets for Brighton this season. Salah on a mission to break the G/A record.
It’s in the bag 👍

Yes great fans and always have some really talented players. They are adept in a low block, but they attack with pace and numbers when it suits them. Likeable manager as well. Just a good team of good people.

If only they had not one but two £100m centre midfielders on the pitch.

And that it’s Villa and Chelsea competing with each other given their questionable PSR deals in the summer.

Wirtz (unlikely), Simons (maybe unlikely but more likely than Wirtz), types might be our false 9 next season. Or just play Dom there and let him run for 5 players.

Labour are finished as a progressive movement. The right have complete control of the party and have ensured the left can never take over again. Anyone progressive remaining in the party is just punching themselves in the face at this point.
