Only reason they didn’t make Rayman Switch 2 is because if there was a 2 in the title, ppl might think it’s Rayman 2

And even then, the only new one seems to be doing just fine
I’m trying to picture the kind of person who would spend £55 on a Hitman game from 5 years ago that’s like £20 on everything else, and I just can’t

They really draw attention to the fact its an old game with the gold “special edition” text and “relive the critically acclaimed classic” on the box
Meanwhile Rayman 3D’s box was like “jump swim and fly through 20 unique levels 🙂” and you play it and oh of course it’s Rayman 2 again ffs

Seeing a few Wii U comparisons, but I see it more like upgrading a phone. I don’t tend to get all excited about the new stuff it can do, I just move my old stuff over and appreciate that it all runs properly now
I’ve not bought one yet but that’s the read I’m getting

Yea like, I’m sure it wasn’t why people weren’t rushing to buy Puyo Puyo Tetris for full price after dropping $450 on a switch 2, but Sega don’t need to know that

This Cranky is the grandfather of the cranky we know, which is the DK of this game. In the same way that adult gorillas accept the mantle of Donkey, old ones accept the mantle of Cranky
Or Nintendo just didn’t consider it idk

I’ll post some project updates or something soon. I actually have been pretty productive and I don’t want my whole feed to just be about how bad everything is

That’s a fair point actually. It’s usually presented as a late subversion, so I guess the first time you experience it you’re naturally gonna think it’s not as common as it is

Yes please tell me more about how you were never close to your dad, but his dying words gave you a glimpse into a relationship you could have had with him and now never will, I don’t even care about Knuckles anymore

Lol I’m only half-joking, I genuinely love it when comics get too personal and lose their goddamn minds

I just watched Evangelion for the first time, I really liked it so don’t read too deeply into me comparing it to the two worst comics I’ve read

The amount of “ironic” generated responses going totally unchallenged is so depressing
Then again, I’ve seen ppl on this site claim that rejecting A/I is “pro-crunch” because you don’t want devs to have easier jobs. So I’m not shocked they’re so unserious about the threat it poses

For me personally, leaving X and taking a social media break made me realize how miserable Twitter was making me.
People coming here want “old Twitter”, but if this site ever became that, I’d probably leave again 🤷♀️

Same here, I had some truly awful days on there before he bought it. Being forced to take a social media break helped my realise how bad that site was for me

It’s not really about SpongeBob or the hype cycle, it’s more about their ability to keep information secure
When studios gain a reputation for weak security, others are less likely to trust them with their own confidential info

Rockstar forced everyone back into the office full-time after the GTA leaks, and many were hired remotely and had to relocate or quit

It’s bittersweet. Most people in the UK aren’t transphobic and are disgusted by statements like “you deserve fewer rights”. It certainly doesn’t win elections
But that means this culture war crap could disappear overnight if a few bored rich people just shut up, and they never will

I don’t really like talking about this stuff on my account that I use for gamedev, but sometimes existing in the UK while trans is a lot

Oh they deleted the post and rewrote the article to be more “reasonable”
British media and politicians always seem to get taken off-guard when the awful shit they say about trans people gets any kind of pushback
