I do kind of love this! Tumblr is absolutely dead by any normal standards but the people who use it *really* use it, so it persists. I found out neopets was still a thing recently for the same reason.

I haven't! prob because I read TGG first - though the gap was so long it could well be much better

the Galaxy Game is, just to warn, not a good book - could've been, but I remember being shook by how badly edited it was - it put me off all her work

If anyone in your household already has a Spotify subscription, there’s loads on there to just try out, if she isn’t sure what she wants

tbh I have not tried a Lime bike! but I don't think it would improve any of the things I hate about cycling.

like, I grew up thinking that a) I didn’t live particularly far north and b) a day that begins before 5am and ends after 10pm is normal. only one of those things can be true.

yes, I think so - it's probably against their regulations to let you travel with it in your lap with nowhere to put it, and if it doesn't fit in your backpack then I think they'll take it.

And I guess they ring up and people say yes! Curious Cases is so good for that, they’re always like, here is the world expert on it who obviously said yes to being on our show

it was a US cup, we don’t have cups? At least it was a US recipe. Argh. I think in practice I never do anything that’s not metric, simply because I have no sense at all of these measurements- I know what 100g and 1m and 100ml actually *are*, whereas you could tell me 20 cups & I’d believe you.

honestly I'm no good at either until someone lets me do it in a unit I recognise (what the fuck is a cup, or an ounce, or a pound)
