So, to summarize a bit my thoughts, the game's still great! Though it's a bit lacking in the character department for my tastes but I trust it can get better.

Now, what *did* interest me is the plot of the game. Specifically Renoir's obsession with Maelle. Who is she to him? She's clearly tied to the masked girl with him in some form. Cloning? Reincarnation? I'm expecting

She seemed so excited and eager to see and then... nothing. You reach the village and she pretty much doesn't get any dialog to express how happy she is to be there or meet the Gestrals. That's the kind of things I craved but sadly the game didn't give them to me

I just hope going forward we'll get more of that (the scene between Esquie and Verso was a great scene too, again I need more of that). Last comment on that. Remember how Lune was so excited to meet Noco, letting out her more nerdy side? And being all "oh there's a village, I wanna see that!!!"?

I audibly screamed "YES! THAT'S IT! MORE OF THAT!" at the Aquafarm 3 scene with him and Sciel. That was great! But also very short and I feel like if the game took a bit more it's time with its characters it would come out greater than it is. But that's just me. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Trails.

It didn't really touch me. I saw him getting wounded by Renoir, take his last stand, get killed and all I could muster was a "damn, that's a bummer"

Act 1's end. Why? Because naming your first act with the main character's name and giving him like two times less abilities to unlock by level up kinda gives away that something will happen to him. And I just had the vibes it wouldn't just get a power up. It's sad, yeah, I'm gonna be honest

it was at the start so that's good and my fears about the music being "too much all the time" are kinda confirming themselves but at the same time not. I didn't get sick of them so that's good but since they go so hard all the time, there's not really one that sticks out right now and that's a shame
