The new scandalous queer threat is... exercise? That's gross now? It's like they're parodying themselves. This is also great inspiration for me to get more exercise lol.

I can't see a package of Oreos without this whole sketch playing in my brain. And I'm happier for it.

I wish he'd left it up. I was enjoying the comments tearing him to shreds. Good community building.

Hey NPR, this paragraph could use some work. Really taking their statements at face value.
"But state Sen. Johnson points out that many countries in Western Europe..."
Senator Johnson *asserts* that. Please be critical.

I used to say I wouldn't wish the wrong puberty on even my worst enemies. I'm no longer that pure of heart.

Here’s a concept: maybe we shouldn’t base people’s rights on public opinion polls.

It starts a bit slow and awkward, but after a few episodes, that makes perfect sense and it's hard to imagine it any other way. (It does pick up though.) Girlfriend and I have really been enjoying it.

I can choose not to hate Little Caesars but it will continue to hate me.

As an American currently living in New Zealand, there are serious problems here, but I don't think it's too late to come back from them. I have a lot more hope for NZ than I do for the US.

That's a much better answer than when I asked my elementary school teacher what state of matter fire was.

I had to leave my copy of Leaves of Grass behind in the US. I bought it at a thrift store, and I distinctly remember the old man at the counter commenting that Whitman "really loved this country." I wish I had it with me.

I experienced a natural disaster as a kid and heavily considered joining the guard because of it. Didn't because I didn't want to run the risk of being told to shoot protesters someday.

My parents asked last week if we had considered coming back. We laughed. This is why.

And New Plymouth is SO easy to drive in 🤦🏻 The roads are so flat and straight and wide compared to most places we've been.

I've been playing the past 3 days. It's a fantastic game and would still be a fantastic game if I knew nothing about the channel.

This basically happened to me. My middle school class played the stock market game in 2008. We had 10,000 imaginary dollars to invest. We did everything right. At the end of the project, the first place group had made two dollars. Second place didn't lose anything. Everyone else lost money.

Now I think about what it must've been like for our teachers watching us fume about our shitty school projects not working right while people were starting to lose their jobs and homes out in the real world.

And yes this did leave me with a deep-seated distaste and distrust for the stock market.

I left back in March with my girlfriend. Everyone said we were so brave. It's hard to articulate to people who aren't being targeted that leaving felt like the safer option.

Legit though this pair of glasses I've kept in their case and cleaned only with the appropriate cloth, and the difference is very noticeable.

After living in the desert for so long, the morning fog has been one of my favorite things about New Zealand. Watching the steam rise off the lakes and the clouds settle into the valleys is turning me into a morning person. Great images as always.
