I am generally neutral on AI (does some useful things, also many bad things, and lots of mediocre things), but I think a lot of the things we want/expect AI to do essentially boil down to "AI will read your mind" and I'm pretty sure even AGI won't be a mind reader.

I have a brewing theory about the deep cynicism of some of the biggest AI boosters/adopters/creators, that all companies and leaders will be fine accepting middling AI output that lets the cut jobs. Amodei claims his "machines of everloving grace" was an optimism piece but the cynicism runs deep.

NYC progressives need to start pushing the narrative that not ranking Zohran anywhere on your ballot is the equivalent of handing the election to Cuomo, ala voting for Jill Stein in 2016/2024. He doesn't have to be your #1 choice- this is about ranked choice strategy.
