What are you talking about? The DOJ never even attempted to seek pre-trail jail even though it was standard in national security cases like Trump's. They gave trump hugely preferential treatment and endangered national security to do so.

One of the bigger problems here is I don't think our legal system is designed to deal with pay blatant bribes through said legal system.
