I'm not learned in legal but even among their criminal records it seems bad I'm only seeing "convicted" once. Not that innocent people can't be convicted and charged, arrested, and alleged people aren't always innocent but the lack of convictions for these crimes feels important to me

Also, yeah, the statement isn't "true" because if the dominant strain of Christianity is directly opposed to its foundational principles, then that's just what Christianity is now. But this is how I think of it and it explains a lot of what's going on.
