I dabbled in crypto to learn about it. For poor and normal folks, the gas fees are very expensive, not viable for typical transactions like buying dinner, paying bills. If you get in early on the "right" tokens, you can make money on speculation. Like what the orange one is doing

Rand Paul made a statement about not sending US troops and money to Gaza. Wonder if he will say it again?

Exactly. The false story that Canada, Mexico and China governments pay the tariffs is still believed by some. Reality will disappoint those who believe that lie

You made the mistake of assuming he had a plan - for anything

Tariffs do work to make imported goods more costly and help US made products competitive. Or as a type of sanction, prevent dumping. Repeat - tariffs are not paid by the country they are exported from

I tried to have this discussion with friends that support Trump, they didn't believe me. One person who actually knows how this works said tariffs were "complicated". Very frustrating

The resulting cost increases get passed to the consumer, how much depending what the US company may choose to absorb - profit margin is typically preserved.

Of course, there are new costs to set up a Vietnam factory, additional costs to ship parts from China to Vietnam. The Supplier also set up a Mexico assembly factory, using components from China.
comment in response to post
When the China tariffs were first announced, the assembly was moved to Vietnam. Lots of components (steel, electronics) still come from China. If "enough" of the assembly was in Vietnam, no China tariffs rates applied, just the lower Vietnam rates.

If the "US" buys half, they get a propaganda outlet controlled by the incoming administration. Maybe the deal also includes buying Truth Social. Maybe Elon buys Truth.

Outside of actual policy, the MAGA/evangelical morality is a joke. I doubt anything in the report is news to the insiders. The swamp keeps filling up

I guess they still make them ? The demand must have plummeted after the original polio vaccine was released. I remember the sugar cube when I was a kid. Only met one person who had the disease
