Part of the problem seems to be that they're operating with anti-frameworks (such as "what polls well?"), and it makes it hard to assimilate what's going on into coherence.
Contrast to Walz, who refused the anti-framework, and said simply and powerfully, no - because of human dignity.

it's never surprising when cops lie. this was the statement from MPD chief o'hara in january that was also repeated in the above article. just because MPD isn't the ones applying the cuffs, it's 100% abetting ICE & according to o'hara, this is MPD *not* doing their jobs

Trump may think he’s made ICE brutality unpublishable, but he’s wrong. He might believe Executive Order 14148 will shield ICE agents from accountability, but executive orders are not law, and they won’t protect anyone from facing consequences. Plain and simple.
