I've said this elsewhere, but the last dozen or so years of American politics has mostly been about right wing media teaching our parents about forum drama and it driving them all insane.

You are not center-left.

🤔 Maybe there could be something to learn from this? Nah...

That is a good out! It isn't like intel services wouldn't do something like that. Weird that it takes the form of so many people wanting them to fight a guy who bends over backwards for Putin harder though.

Love how they care more about leftist shitposters hurting their egos than, oh I don’t know, choosing their fucking book tours over making ANY attempt to protect their constituents?

for those paying attention, it is NOTABLE that they are whining about bluesky, which leans generally progressive, rather than X, which is generally conservative so you know getting pissy about their own voters telling them they suck and moving rightwards again aka the reason progressives are mad

lmao they are whining about constitutents being mad at them which is, and i cant stress this enough, the entire point of their position they cant handle actually hearing from the people therefore they have lost legitimacy

twitter was never paradise and it always had a big fash contingent. but it was a venue where people with a lot of power had to occasionally confront the folks who they were used to happily fucking over.

Naw these guys are just the lib version of the national conservative idea, a fake idea so they can be super racist without being disinvited from parties

Part of the problem seems to be that they're operating with anti-frameworks (such as "what polls well?"), and it makes it hard to assimilate what's going on into coherence. Contrast to Walz, who refused the anti-framework, and said simply and powerfully, no - because of human dignity.

The guy with the *highest* name recognition is apparently hated because his whole shtick is being a proud misogynist (and [alleged] rapist).

it's never surprising when cops lie. this was the statement from MPD chief o'hara in january that was also repeated in the above article. just because MPD isn't the ones applying the cuffs, it's 100% abetting ICE & according to o'hara, this is MPD *not* doing their jobs

Check the Minneapolis police union...they are led by a white nationalist and they protect Chauvin for years...these are probably moonlighters contracted by DHS to provide "private security" www.mnaflcio.org/updates/minn...

Even normal conservatives show their asses on this. Elon is the exact sort of businessman they're supposed to morally abhor (electric cars, lives off government subsidies, foreigner with an accent) but the second he starts talking about differences in IQ between the races he's one of theirs

Trump may think he’s made ICE brutality unpublishable, but he’s wrong. He might believe Executive Order 14148 will shield ICE agents from accountability, but executive orders are not law, and they won’t protect anyone from facing consequences. Plain and simple.
