For context: AI was tasked with remastering Interstella 5555 into higher definition and ending up making it blurry and muddy instead. I reviewed it at the time on LB and said it looked like it had been fed through a Snapchat filter

I know barely anyone watched it, but even something that sounds achievable like AI upscaling the Daft Punk movie that had a well established art style was disastrous because computers don’t understand art

We needed one more beat down like the Wolves gave them to knock this run off of its statistical trajectory because this looks on paper to be a much more dominant team than it feels like they are. Bunch of long rangy defenders who are spot up shooters. Where’s the artistry? Where’s the inspiration?

Literally got into a conversation last week trying to explain how Mystique’s shape shifting powers include her changing the DNA in all of her cells, including zygotes, which is how she was able to be retconned into being another character’s biological father. I simply love lore

I know LeBron is the goat, but a 40-yo still being a top ten player in your league means the top end talent in the league hasn’t really pushed the sport forward for a couple decades. Role players finally caught up.

In previous dynastic eras you could have two or three excellent players and that would be good enough to win a title. 4th thru 8th guys in rotation could be replacement level. Look at those guys across the old super teams. They don’t even play on these conf finals teams this year.
