If these schools are doing well then it just means other schools will suffer because a nationally a third must fail.

The GCSE system is designed to fail approximately a third every year regardless of the standard reached by students. It is to prevent criticism of the exam being too easy. So every year students and teachers work harder and every year a third still fail.

I know how to teach dyslexic children but a teacher with a class of 20-30 students does not have the time to do it. All schools should have a dedicated teacher for dyslexic students.

School doesn’t need to be fun, but it should be interesting. Also DI is the most effective way to ensure all students get the knowledge and skills they need but this should be followed by a time for student agency and inquiry. Best of both worlds.
