Today we live the glory days assuming one is patient and select games to play because of the vibes rather than through cultural osmosis. We do not need to advocate for games anymore, that battle has been won. We simply need to embrace our inner sicko to find joy instead of lamenting decaying systems

Creativity is not waking up and having a grand auteur vision, creativity is applying your unique toolset and imagination to solve a problem in a unique way, and repeating that hundreds of thousands of times until you have a finished work.

I played the demo in June in 1999 on my win 98 PC and I still have goosebumps thinking about it. Baldur's Gate was something special, a whole summer vacation of game time that year as well !
