The MAGA base will not care. Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick said old people should die during the Covid pandemic in order to save the economy. He is still the Lt. Governor.

I’m from Texas. You honestly think Cornyn or Cruz are going to listen to us? We are in the minority in this state.

So very sorry for your loss. S-A-L-L-Y will be missed.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Well, don’t see a whole lot of third party candidates in House and Senate races where I live. An you made an assumption, and you know what happens when you assume. I’ve never voted third party.

It’s not whining, it’s reality. Wake up and smell the coffee. And instead of throwing insults….You keep spouting off the same stuff as has been spouted for the past couple of elections. How is that working out? Until they show up to fight….Do you know what the definition of insanity is?

Thank you for the correction.

Incorrect. Many submarines are not powered by nuclear energy.

Additionally, who cares they do not have the votes. Leadership is about taking a stand. They caved instead of taking said stand.

Fair question. In the Senate they could filibuster. Schumer could have filibustered the continuing resolution, a bill that hurts the middle class. Instead, he gave the 35% approval rating to cave.
comment in response to post
I hear what you are saying. But if they continue to show they are not willing to fight, what would cause people to vote Democrat? All one needs to see right now is how Democrat Senators cave because they want to see a less than 35% approval rating for Trump. That tells me they aren’t up to fight.

Goes nowhere. Had Trump caught red-handed with classified materials. Nothing. Insurrection? Nada.
comment in response to post
Nothing. They will do nothing. And what can they do? Make a ruling more strenuously?
comment in response to post
And yet the Democrat Party, for the most part, continues to do nothing other than wail and gnash teeth.

Don’t hold your breath. No backbone. No courage.

We’ve become what we hated, what many of us fought against at some level.

Similar bill filed in Texas yesterday (March 4).

I am afraid we all may be.

I understand and agree that this is their role. But I have no doubt the military will be called up. Consider this administration is getting rid of those who may ignore illegal military orders with those who may be more than happy to follow them.
comment in response to post
Couldn’t that lead to the current leadership to declare a coup has been instigated against them, call up the military and put into place martial law?
comment in response to post
And who will enforce it?
comment in response to post
They cannot. The judiciary is not in the military’s chain of command.
comment in response to post
Agreed. And have been doing this for some time.
comment in response to post
It does. My concern is there will be those who say that we are using images from movies to make stuff up. They cannot dispute actual historical photos.
comment in response to post
I understand what you are trying to show, but this image is from a movie. I would have used a picture from the actual era.
comment in response to post
Yes. Yes they are.

I remember a time not that long ago when Republicans stood for stopping the spread of communism and fighting communist despots. We ended the Warsaw Pact. Now it appears we are willing to let Putin put it back together and let us in as a part of it.

Advising people of their Constitutional rights is actually preserving, protecting, and defending the Constitution. And what law is she violating by informing anyone of their rights? Again, remember, explanation of rights is already available online.
comment in response to post
Under the Constitution anyone suspected of a crime has rights. And as I showed you, explanation of these rights is readily available online, so by your thinking, the entirety of the internet should be charged with a crime.
comment in response to post
Know the law: pennstatelaw.psu.edu/sites/defaul...
comment in response to post
Telling someone what their rights are is not aiding or abetting. She is giving general advice so an accessory after the fact is irrelevant. Nice try, though.
comment in response to post
Can you cite the specific code she violated?
comment in response to post
That is not against the law. What you should be upset about is the slow roll Merrick Garland did in regards to the investigations into Trump. If I remember correctly, there was more than enough evidence to indict.
comment in response to post
Not legally.
