Finished Shantae and the Seven Sirens. I dig these games. They are short but solid little metroidvania games and well worth giving a play if you ever get the chance. Good art, good music, good gameplay. Really enjoyed the play.

Been a little bit since I hit a movie tie-in. Will I get confused by the 3 seashells? Probably. Join me at pm CST as I take on Demolition Man for the Super Nintendo. twitch.tv/snesislife

I dread a bit this evening. I'll be taking on Sid Meier's Civlization which probably should not have been ported onto the Super Nintendo, but apparently was. I can only assume it will be sloggingly boring. If that interests you though; join me at 8pm CST. twitch.tv/snesislife

The nice thing about collecting is being able to actually play thr weird stuff in the weird way. Found a copy of house of the dead overkill for ps3 today and I have all the stuff to actually play it in 3d.

Finished Altered Beast on the Sega Genesis. Man it's hard to believe this was the original launch title. Compared to Sonic it is absolutely archaic feeling and not in a good way. Glad Sega moved on to the blue blur or they may never have made it to the Dreamcast. Not a must play by any means. lol

Freebies from a neighborhood garage sale end of day. DBZ being in an xbox one case was the real winner there. PS3 and Wii work. PSone is shot. Bullet Witch is empty case. Mostly kinect garbage. Did have NFL Street 1, 2 and NBA Street 2 though. Those are something worthwhile at least.

After 10 days off I get to come back to my most dreaded of genre. Sports games... Join me as I fumble around tonight in FIFA 96 on the Super Nintendo. twitch.tv/snesislife

I splurged on my boardgaming hobby this weekend instead of video gaming.

Started Immortals Fenyx Rising today. I definitely see all the comparisons to BotW. It got its hooks in me pretty quick. I'm enjoying the narration of Zues and Prometheus quite a bit. There's some good haha bits in the dialogue.

Beat The Great Circle. It's a good game. A bit clunky first person view combined with h2h combat. Lots of lore, exploring, action, world building. That the final boss fight though hurts the game; and looking on the net when I got stuck, I'm not alone. Its worth a play for sure, but be be aware.

Today's Marketplace find. $100 CIB. Used, but in damn near new condition. Not sure I'll get the use out of it, but I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind having me upstairs playing games as opposed to downstairs. At least we'd be in the same room in the evening.

This eve we step into the shoes of Arthur King. No; not King Arthur. We're a time traveling football team who have to save the real King and the Knights of the Round. Join us at 8:00pm CST as we play King Arthur and the Knights of Justice! twitch.tv/snesislife

Finished Hollow Knight. 15 hours and only 60% completed which means I probably got the worst ending but whatever. I understand why people like it; it's a good game. It is not nearly as mind blowing as a lot of people seem to think it is though. Definitely worth playing.

This evening I am the Dragon in the Bruce Lee Story. Also, my son has returned from college for a while so I get my streaming buddy back. Join us at 8pm CST. twitch.tv/snesislife

I'm for real about to lose it. lol I've seriously fought this fight like 30 times. Just cannot get it down. Everytime I'm doing really well she does something that doesn't track with the rest of the fight and it just throws me.

I think I may be trying to play through too many games at once? How many have you or are you working on at the same time? Currently playing Indiana Jones Great Circle Indiana Jones Staff of Kings Hollow Knight Assassins Creed Rogue

Why is cutting grass in Harvest Moon cathartic but in real life just an absolute mess.

My wife and I finished Split Fcition tonight. Another fantastic ge from Hazelight. It was much more difficult than their other two games, which is fine, but presented a hefty challenge for my wife, who is less gamely than myself. It's definitely worth playing if you have a friend who is interested.

Did some horse trading. Swapped a Sega Genesis, Xbox One, Wii and PS2 for an OLED Switch complete in box. Then swapped that for the special Zelda OLED without box. Luckilly some time ago I manged to pick up a box for one out of the Gamestop dumpster. LOL

I think I'm nearing the end of Hollow Knight. It has yet to astound me; but it is a solid and good game. The difficulty can be a bit maddening sometime. I do not have the greatest twitch reflexes anymore.

I don't think we'll be finishing the game tonight but I know we're getting near the end of Split Fiction. Join us at 8pm CST. twitch.tv/snesislife

Also picked this up yesterday.

Clearer pic than yesterday. So I expected it to not have the tv or switch/controllers. Sadly they also took off the lightbox, Nintendo logo and the controller and console brackets from the drawer. They really mangled a spot on the right side that isn't visible. I've hammered that out best I can.

Never too proud to dumpster dive. Adly it's missing sole pieces, but a little elbow grease and I'll get it near it's store display again.

New Shinobi looking fire. youtu.be/1lLxNxbmRX0?...

Day 70 and the last day of every lightgun game I own. The Oculus 2 gets the honorable mention. There are a lot of shooting games on the Oculus; but there are a number which really step into the old lightgun style which is why I want to mention it. Here are some highlights from my library.

This is my 2nd completion of AC4: Black Flag and I actually beat the game in March, but I waited until today to post because I finally went for and got 100% completion. I really wanted to see the Skeleton Crew fighting off Rabbids. Still the best pirate game ever.

Yeah... I was figuring something like this. Awful lot of "key card" games. No sir. I don't like it; not one bit.

I'm not sure what this exposes about me other than I bounce all over the damn place. lol

Day 69 (giggidy) of every lightgun game I own. There are a couple that use it, but the only one I have is Farpoint. Fairly average in quality, but you're not looking for groundbreaking here. Just immersive. I actually haven't played this, but it doesn't stop me from owning. LOL

Day 68 of every lightgun game I own. Last PS3. HotD 4 didn't get a physical, sadly. Also, the last one to get ported to my knowledge. Solid action here. As usual, it's tough as all hell, but it's gorgeous. Set up to use the move controllers, which isn't great though.
