Human rights experts have assessed - based on evidence and statistics - that the risk of inhumane conditions and treatment is highest in "temporary" (pre-trial) detention facilities. What would happen if Members of Congress brought police escorts to enforce their right of inspection, I wonder?

Tell her that the personality of these types (as well as their history, in the case of Jan6 parolees) makes him more likely to be prone to domestic violence. Major red flag... (apart from anything else).

There won't be a Hague trial, I hate to tell you. The International Criminal Court does not have jurisdiction as the US is not a party; moreover, the ICC only prosecutes "those most responsible": senior leaders, commanding officers. Not individual foot soldiers (neither did the Nuremberg Tribunal).

Cite is 543 U.S. 551 (2005). Justice Kennedy for the 5:4 majority noted that only Somalia & the US had not ratified Article 37 of the UNCRC, he added, "The opinion of the world community, while not controlling outcome, does provide respected and significant confirmation for our own conclusions."

They tried to impeach Mayorkas? Ha. Noem (a) presided over the attack on Sen Padilla and then lied about it; (b) sicced the military on civilians; (c) called for the "liberation" of CA from its lawfully elected Government; and (d) mistakes risible cosplay for actually securing the homeland.

If this is how they treat sitting members of Congress, mayors, and judges—people simply trying to serve—how do you think they’ll treat you?!?
This is deliberate. And it’s all about control and intimidation toward those who dare hold them accountable.
Enough is enough. (2/2)

I’ve sent some weird requesters (ie those with a bit of plausibility, not the men looking for love) a message asking why they are looking to friend me now. Others I’ve just deleted.

As I said elsewhere, Trump & Vance may learn tonight that (a) helping the poor, the starving, and the wrongfully imprisoned is Good; (b) overly zealous law enforcement and greedy inn keepers are Bad; and (c) revolutions can succeed, if properly thought out and funded. But I doubt it.
