Booty so powerful it cannot be contained, regardless of her efforts

Its especially egregious when you see it happen in a setting that already has a collection of iconography and symbols that could be referenced instead of using, well, as you said, the 1:1 shorthand for "tribal" Its not always perfect, but it still at least shows a level of thought in some fashion.

Listen, I may not go here but thr idea that music or any media needs to meet a undefined level of transgressiveness to be considered valid as a form of satire is fucking wild. Like??? Since when was there a requirement like that???

I just wanted to see her as a princess. If only for a little bit 🙂‍↕️🥺

Plus side, the airport is air conditioned! And we're not stuck on the plane. Which is admittedly, a low bar, but better than nothing!

Honestly I can confirm that you're right, blocking is the best choice. Since inevitably if they've got some "tribal" mods then you know they'll release more of the same, too.

Honestly you said this better than I could. There's so many awful, awful layers to this sort of bullshit!!

...oh my gOD I FORGOT CHAR'S JP VA WAS GODDAMN LAHABREA.
comment in response to post
This isn't to say Char is just evil for the sake of it. The Ilberd comparison is apt given Char would also do just about anything to achieve his goals, even if it means killing people he doesn't even hate or would want dead otherwise.

And when I say "Nero has a better moral compass than Char" I mean it. Do you know how many times Char backstabbed or even killed people who considered him a close friend, ally, or potentially even a love interest? Man was Revolver Ocelot before Revolver Ocelot.

...he also may have taken part in several acts of domestic terrorism within Garlmald alongside his adopted father in an attempt to dismantle the current power structure of the Empire to rebuild it. Like I said, more radical faction of the populares after all.

That's how he ended up going by the name Casval Albata, as that was the name of the couple's son. In time, and despite initial awkwardness, they did become a family. In public he was Casval, but in private they treated him as his own person, treated him like he was another son.

Since this couple, alongside being...fairly decent folk by imperial higher up standards, were some of the first adults to treat Cyrus with kindness. They had saved him from becoming fodder for an even worse monster. So, he agreed to pretend to be their son in public
comment in response to post
After he had some time to rest, they eventually made him an offer; he could pretend to be their biological son in public, as his death could be weaponized by those opposing their faction. However, they said he was free to say no, and that they would take care of him regardless.

FACTOID TIME! -After their mother sold him off to the empire, he was eventually rescued by a couple who were high ranking members of a more radical faction of the populares. -Said couple had just lost a child who looked just like him & as they were still grieving seeing him suffer nearly broke them.

YEH YEH!!! Which is why I was comparing Gundam to stuff like Star Trek and Star Wars, because they all came out in relatively similar time spans (between the mid to late 1960s into the late 1970s). All three codified a bunch of tropes, concepts, and fomulas that we see in modern media today!
comment in response to post
Actually not that long ago I found a shitpost that was also a pretty helpful chart that highlights a lot of the features you see in Char Clones, both within the Gundam Franchise and other media as a whole
comment in response to post
But like, when I say they inhabit similar niches in their respective cultures media, I mean it in the sense of the impact it has had. For example, to dip into Star Wars, while Darth Vader Clone is a popular visual trope in western Media, Gundam created it's equivalent in the Char Clone.

(At least, when when compared to the Original Series. I'm not as familiar with later stuff so I don't want to say for certain) Gundam Universal Century (which is the Main Timeline) has a lot of fascinating political intrigue that goes on & explores how most conflicts are not morally black or white
comment in response to post
WELL TO BE HONEST In terms of tone, Star Trek and Gundam are very different. Gundam probably has more in common with anti-war films that focus on soldiers than say, the space exploration of Star Trek. However, both do take a fairly nuanced look of their subject matter given the time period.

Honestly Solaire was absolutely stunned and thrilled when she realized she didn't have to plan her showers around multiple different schedules so that everyone had a chance to clean up. Took a very long bubble bath as a treat.

"What is Operation British?" It's the origin of of the trope name "Colony Drop". Zeon, in an attempt to cripple the Federation Military, was planning to drop an abandoned space colony on the Federation HQ (Jaburo) in Brazil. They miscalculated, and it hit Sydney, Australia. Tactic sound familiar?
comment in response to post
...would this also be a good time to mention I use aspects of both the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon in how I depict and write Garlemald as well? Because I do. Because if the Werlyt Quests, for all of their faults, have taught me, Garlmald would and did pull an Operation British.

Also, if you're ever curious a lot of the more grounded/realistic mecha anime or manga tend to have strong anti-war messaging or themes, such as the Gundam franchise. The less realistic ones can range from sci-fi horror to shounen nonsense. I'm pretty sure there's some shoujo in there, too
