*a distillation of the worlds written work but yknow. still pretty rad honestly. shame that these things are such good weapons

having run local models i would be confident in saying that interfacing with LLMs is a way better deal in terms of power consumption when taking into account how useful they can be. i can interface with a large percentage of the world’s written information with 30-45w of power on a modern Mac.

afaik the power consumption for training is fairly substantial, the power consumption for interfacing with cloud LLMs is not really that bad compared to the braindead shit that so many tech corps are using their compute on. the quality of code being written in corp spaces is really fucking bad now.

i saw someone on twitter say that LLMs removed water from the water cycle and i interacted and very quickly regretted doing so

i main a unihertz jelly star (for ~1.5yr) and i think it’s the best phone i’ve ever had, mostly because it fits in my hand. i can do everything i need to do on a phone but it adds a bit of friction. using my iphone currently while apartment hunting and i just generally use it more than the jelly.

i have a kitchensafe one i think it’s called. you cannot open that shit without smashing the base. i’ve tried. it’s a solid product but they know what they’re doing when selling the replacement bases for that price imo what’s better is a phone that sucks in some way.

and then the cycle continues. this format is irreparable. as long as the focus is on character limits and short form, nobody will bother to include proper context or explain themselves in full, everything just degrades to quips. even those that put effort forth end up having their context stripped

this is imo the main flaw of microblogging sites, and why i hate the format. it leads to complete and total context death. and now we're stuck in this cycle of when one microblogging platform dies, everyone moves to another microblogging platform, and it ends up becoming just as worst as the first

it is easy on mac too. just that the mac piracy forums (yes, forums) are more hidden, and there can sometimes be a few extra steps

hello i have access to an Entrust Artista CR805. unfortunately the CMYK layers get progressively misaligned throughout the print, so its definitely not perfect
