Nice article. It’s in reach definitely. Everything is there for us to get back to the very top. Looks like the professional structures behind the scenes are taking shape. Moyes has a point to prove too. Looking good. 💙 COYB

I do like it though. Not stake but the shirt looks good. Wish we had adidas or Nike and not the cheap versions. Can dream ! 😎

Probably as long as the original and for triple the price…

Modern football. Not impossible at all but not like the old days when you could just rock up to games and pay at the gate. Great times.

Petty and classless spring to mind. Doubt they’ll find much empathy from anyone with this approach.

Surprised Gnonto hasn’t started again yet ….

Agreed. And totally wrong anyone doing that. Sign of the times sadly. DCL has been a decent player for us in trying times. Not his fault he sustained bad injuries that weren’t helped by the need to rush back. Best for all parties to move on and that looks like it’s happening. Onwards and upwards.

Quite. Look at Brian Clough.

It is if they don’t find out…..

Sad that and why we’re where we are. Everton used to sack managers for coming fourth. Hopefully and I think it will, the mentality changes under TFG. No reason why we can’t get right back to the top and challenge. Everything is there to do it.

Just having to go back to work is…😎

He’s been a great scout of players. Let’s see. For me can’t judge Thelwell at Everton as had his hands tied behind his back. Did quite well at wolves. Let’s see.
comment in response to post
Why, you mean cos he has too much control now? Thought there was a kind of committee involved. Moyes is a great scout of players.
comment in response to post
Yes very true. Cunha has been the jewel in the crown for them the last couple of seasons. Will be interesting to see what they do and agree, they don’t spend a lot.
comment in response to post
Depends on who they buy to replace them. Having said that, keep selling your best players and eventually will catch up with you.

And on what would today be described as a quagmire of a pitch and most likely unplayable. Amazes me how the players of that time maintained such balance, poise and skill. Great goal!

And probably not even watched one on tv, let alone “live” !

Ditto that. Got tickets to see him at Wembley arena a few years back and was so robotic. Basically sang 8 songs and walked off…people had flown in from Australia etc to see him. Very poor show

Looks absolute quality. Lovely job…

Have a feeling Keane will stay and not totally averse to it. I know he’s had his ups and downs but thought he was excellent against Fulham and as back up is a good option. Moyes also knows how to coach a defence so am sure can iron out any deficiencies. On reduced cash good deal.

If Moyes gets it right and he’s a superb scout of players and I think he will. Then with the new stadium he really could be the antithesis of “never go back”, and we could be back amongst it. Feels like pivotal sliding door moments for us. COYB

You’re a blue like all of us and probably more so given you can’t go to the games like the most of us. Think it’s great you and all others wherever you are love Everton. It’s in the blood this club and no one can make any of us feel any differently towards Everton irrespective of where we live etc
comment in response to post
I was asking that question when Birmingham, Swansea etc were winning the league cup and why couldn’t we win it?! Really feels like a new dawn for us and our opportunity and time. COYB 💙💙
comment in response to post
Exactly all that. Heartbreaking leaving Goodison but in life you need to move on and know when to. We’ve lived in the past too long. All we want to see is the club compete at the top where we should be competing. 30 now plus years without a trophy is a sad inditement. Fans really are the best.
comment in response to post
Quite and quite. Really doesn’t help himself at all and some of the things he’s come out with are just plain incorrect. And that’s being kind.
comment in response to post
Totally agree, was too few. You had to get his head right. Joe Royle did that. Way he played against likes of United etc was a joy to behold. And the Newcastle game when shearer had just joined them. Totally upstaged him.
comment in response to post
Big game player, proved it. Should’ve been one of the all time greats, had it all and really was unplayable on his day. Wouldn’t say he’s an Everton legend though as much as I like him.
comment in response to post
Spot on. We’re not playing in the 1890s anymore and Everton is synonymous with royal blue…what we’re known for. COYB

That comment from the club/whoever will only encourage even more people to come. IMO ticket or not, it’s a momentous occasion and ALL Evertonians are more than welcome. More aptly, the police/club should anticipate this and manage it. It’s a celebration after all. COYB
comment in response to post
That should be the plan. Best of both worlds, what’s not to like.
comment in response to post
Totally agree. Apart from the fans (1878s etc) superb l,awe inspiring and deeply moving, very poor from the club. Where’s the pride and let’s show off, all the great players, teams, trophies, events, kits etc etc. Have seen very little on that apart from buy a seat, some grass and odd memorabilia
comment in response to post
He’d probably still be better upfront than the current incumbents !
comment in response to post
🤣 that is funny. I do love the facts but there a lot of them ! 🤭
comment in response to post
Totally agree. What a servant, top professional and brilliant player. Loves Everton, appreciates every minute. Will be the manager one day I’m sure. Love the kid. Totally smashes the myth that footballers don’t care.
comment in response to post
Yay depending on the terms but not averse to it at all.

Huge shame. We all loved and I mean loved Sharp as a player. Gave many many people some of the best ever days as a fan. Terribly sad what’s happened and hope it can be resolved.

Classic, quality and criminal if that’s not a must ! 😎💙

I get the need for progress (in the right way) but always a sad indictment when heritage and community are lost or simply disregarded.
comment in response to post
And go bust of course….
comment in response to post
Exactly. Change the mindset. Then everything else will change.
comment in response to post
Yes exactly my point. If we want to get “back amongst it” we need to compete at that level. If we don’t get the player then fine but let’s throw our hat in at least. People forget and that’s half the issue due to the apathy and dumbing down of any ambition that we’re a huge club.

Everton have a new stadium, new owner (with a plan I hope !). United countless home defeats, rashford and Antony bombed out, firing the tea lady cos it saves money, only winning in the europa cos it’s championship level and even then scrapping through. Who says Amorim lasts too.
comment in response to post
Agree with bits of that, they’re not as far from us anymore though. Financially they’ve got issues and if it’s about playing time who says Delap is a guaranteed starter there. Let’s see if we “really” are interested which may be more apt.
comment in response to post
Delap is made for Everton. Would be mad to go to United, who are a shambles on and off the pitch. Hopefully they and the shite go bust ! 😎
comment in response to post
Quite right. Shouldn’t even be mentioned as any type of achievement. Embarrassing a club like Everton are ever near the relegation zone. Need to get back to competing at the top and that means winning, simple as. COYB

Minus the swear words obv ! 🤣

The kid knows! COYB 💙

Tend to agree on his playing capabilities but definitely keep him as a coach. Future Everton manager one day that boy. Legend is an overused term these days but he really has been an Everton legend for me. I know he’s won nothing with us but what a player and servant he’s been.
comment in response to post
Give Seamus a player/coach role and don’t let him leave under any circs.
