I think Bezos is quite happy to loose money on the Post in exchange for the “freedom” to extract wealth everywhere else.

Funny how they always try to deflect criticism by accusing their political enemies of the very thing they themselves are doing. Like a bizzaro world version of “whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you.”

That’s brilliant. To be honest, I didn’t know MapQuest was still around.

In my work as a librarian, I’ve learned AI apps like ChatGPT routinely spout incorrect information.

Yes. Protesting will only get more difficult and dangerous as the coup becomes more entrenched.

Good point. Appeasement has never been an effective strategy anyway.

I think we have to assume Trump employs bribery, coercion and blackmail wherever he can. It’s kind of his thing. Look what he did with the Democratic mayor of New York, for example.

Most libraries these days also give you free access to movie and tv streaming services like Hoopla and Kanopy. My library allows people to sign up for ecards online, so you don’t even have to physically go to the library to access these services.

@carolecadwalla.bsky.social I assume you’ve seen this by @ledbydonkeys.org ? It really lays his whole master plan right out there. He wants to be the fascist king of the world. Unless he’s stopped, he won’t stop at just the US. youtu.be/NjWl_RNDMSA?...

It’s the weird and nonsensical nature of it all that throws me. I guess I just expected fascism to be more orderly.

Why would they? They’ve already demonstrated complete contempt for the law, the Supreme Court has pronounced presidents above the law, and Trump can pardon anyone he wants. Literally no one can stop them - except, perhaps, an enormous and determined mob of angry citizens.

Why are they using kids to do this stuff? Is it because they were easier to manipulate?

The goal is to destroy the public education system.

It really is the problem.
A lot of people (especially low information voters) use these articles to set the tone for what's happening.
So instead of the headline being "Trump breaks law" it is "Trump gets stuff done"
They are paving the way for dictatorship.
