Everybody wants to know how the Nazis were able to do what they did until you point it out in real time

Casey Anthony is about to become a maga influencer.

The President can't unilaterally abolish USAID, which is mandated by Congress, 22 USC §6563, and is an "independent establishment," id citing 5 USC §104. USAID continues to exist as much as the Social Security Administration does. The President is violating the law and the Constitution.

Just as Cambridge Analytica used public data to microtarget campaign ads, etc., Musk & Trump can now used much more granular and PRIVATE data to microtarget federal payments from the Treasury. If their AI says you likely voted for Harris? No tax refund for you. Voted Trump? Tariff rebates for you.

Item number 2 here is the shocker.

We should be divided. One side is cranks and criminals who want to roll back the Enlightenment and impose techno-feudalism. We should be against them.

Seeing a lot of appeals to humanity in arguments against maga - I cannot stress enough how much they don't care. When you say that someone feels unsafe, they go home & laugh. When you say that someone is suffering, they will laugh. When you say that someone deserves dignity, they will laugh.

I was to give a talk at a big US Attorney's Office next week abt the complicity of German lawyers in the creation of the Nazi state. Yesterday the Justice Department cancelled it. Irony is dead. I've got an op/ed on this I'm looking to place. Help appreciated. #LawSky #Skystorians #Holocaust

Legislation by euphemism (or orders here, same thing) is the hallmark of authoritarian contempt for the rule of law in favor of arbitrary rule. The written text is made near meaningless, thus evading accountability for it, while you're supposed to demonstrate loyalty by following the implied intent.

What Dems really need to do is shake this image. I have no idea how they do it. But we need to address the...this...factor. Please find some edge PLEASE because y'all have the energy of the teacher's pet on a field trip 😩

What's also really disturbing for me is I work for a large "inclusive" corporation with a C-Suite who loves sending company-wide emails at any opportunity to demonstrate "empathy" No emails about the Nazi salute behind the presidential podium. Crickets. Business as usual.

"some people are fearful for their lives could you maybe have some mercy the way jesus says" The Christian right:

What the fuck is a biblical right and why do we still have to entertain this nonsense 😫

If public sentiment doesn't matter why are they trying so hard to control it

I can't believe these fucking dweebs are about to ruin our lives oh my god

I guarantee they already have a glib set of talking points prepped explaining how of course that wasn’t the thing it very obviously was, how could you even think that.

"It was a Roman salute" is an updated version of "actually, the Buddhists also used swastikas." If you are using it post-1945, you know very well that the association has changed.

Elon Musk starting off his reign as our unelected führer with a Nazi salute.

"oh ho, but just last year you said running people over with with a big steamroller was wrong!” I exclaim delightedly as my enemy fatally runs me over with a big steamroller. it seems I have won this battle of wits

Football is so exciting that every man I know falls asleep watching it

TikTok won't let you search things like "Nazi Germany," "rise of Hitler," or "third reich." I saw folks claim searching "fascism" doesn't work, but it works for me. Was this the case pre-ban? I want to say no but I don't have solid evidence/recollection.

The only reason Trumpism works is because it’s identity-based, not policy-based. It’s not about logic—it’s about belonging to a group that thrives on shared outrage. Logic won’t fix it. They believe in a world that doesn’t exist and see no problem in the fact that they can’t prove what they say.

"A substantial chunk of the new right's political philosophy is openly based on the ideas of a literal Nazi propagandist who was so proudly unrepentant he couldn't get a job in postwar Germany" is one of those things that is 100% true and saying it makes you sound crazy.

They're turning our government into 4chan 🙂

So this was definitely an exercise in trolling for the sake of demonstrating power great cool love it awesome

This is the GOP’s long con on full display.

I think we also need to make sure we don't totally waffle this yarvin thing. Everyone I've seen react on here is just calling his writing dumb. Which it is. But we can't leave it there. We're literally playing by high school rules guys - anything the nerds call dumb is cool actually!

The @nytimes.com just gave Yarvin a glowing interview where they are trying to normalize his ideology. The US left, especially those near establishment or power centres need to stop promoting the fascists. If you know who Yarvin is but not Marsh, that's because the oligarchs want it that way.

I get that nobody wants to admit that we're largely in a post-logic landscape but oh my god the burns are not burning, the gotchas are not getting, these people legitimately *do not care* about hypocrisy & inconsistency.

Can't imagine the youth will be too bummed about their high energy video app being banned when they can just log onto blue sky and read sentences written by elder millennials

I had a post do pretty well on TikTok, and it happened to be a post about my creative work I thought was silly. I received hundreds of really kind comments that inspired me to pursue my talents. I'm sad at the idea that all those comments will be lost & I'll never get to read them again 😔

Yeah I need way more money than anyone ever got before. I need it because my shit is difficult right now. But it's important in ways even I haven't been able to work out. OpenAI is a serious business. Help me. Please help me please my serious company is so good. Help me www.cnbc.com/2024/12/27/o...

Happiness & fulfillment?? Nah I'd rather work 90 hours a week chasing a type of "excellence" where I actually get nothing in return
