I watched that pass from Garland to Mobley about 600 times. Pretty impossible to defend that

I don’t know. I know we have the worst owner and most dysfunctional front office in the sport, so anything is possible.

You only get to be the surprise playoff team once.

How could they have acquired more talent over the last few years? Would the 6 draft picks they gave up in exchange for a quarterback, who is unplayable, have helped?

Instead your actual universe is one where they drafted Baker Mayfield and tried to ruin him and ended up trading him for a washed, serial sexual predator. Almost the same. Lol.

lol you sat through that? God bless. Good seats though you had a great view of all of the Browns illegal formation penalties.

What did Jonathan Jones report?

Yep it’s over.

You’re gonna have to excuse him on this one. He’s never been inside of a grocery store in his entire life.

It’s not that crazy. Kitchens worked for Parcells

An ALCS run that ended because they were short on offense. I watched this team trade Kenny Lofton and Carlos Baerga and let Albert Belle walk in free agency all in the same offseason when they were all in their primes. They responded by winning a pennant. Nothing surprises me

That 1B/DH logjam will decrease by 1 once they trade Naylor

It’s hard to argue with the results. I know they haven’t won a WS, but no organization does more with less. I will give them the benefit of the doubt

That’s untenable for a guy who’s offensive production has dipped with each successive season

For now. Also Angel Martinez. They’ll piece it together until Bazzana is ready. It’s the right move.

Maybe they believe he unlocked something in October

Rocchio might actually be the better hitter of the two

It’s Bazzana time. Makes sense. Gimmy didn’t do anything in the playoffs until Game 5

What a novel idea! Letting the Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Playcaller pick the QB! I know Jimmy Haslam has only been the worst owner in professional sports for 12 years but he might just get this thing figured out yet. Have patience.

Flacco was average at best. You are correct. And his “average At best” was light years better than Watson. That trade is a catastrophic failure

There were other teams who needed QBs, that season. They didn’t give up 5 draft picks and a quarter of a billion dollars in guaranteed money to a guy with 26 sexual assault allegations. We gotta stop acting like it was their only option.
comment in response to
post
But it’s three years later and they are 3-10 and have no Qb. You understand that’s not great, right?
comment in response to
post
People aren’t panicking. I think people would like answers to why the coach had to completely blow up his offensive staff to placate a washed QB after a 40 year old put up numbers in that offense and took the team to a playoff game.

His 2 seasons in Tampa have been far better than his one healthy season with Stefanski. He wasn’t Stefanski’s pick and that’s fair to say. I would also say it’s Stefanski’s fifth year and he still hasn’t had his pick at QB. Again, dysfunctional organization.
comment in response to
post
I mean if you consider what we are watching on the field this season “progress”, we just have different definitions of that word. They are going to be paying a minimum of 4 people next season who will not play for them. This is an absolute mess.
comment in response to
post
Real quick, how exactly did Stefanski “save” Baker?
comment in response to
post
You’re very salty about this. Not sure why you’re so defensive of everything this franchise does. I’m not even trying to argue. You can be a fan and still admit they have screwed up massively. They went all in for this season and are heading for 3 or 4 wins. That’s how jobs get lost

Nothing has worked out since 1999 for this team and it really hasn’t worked since the Haslams took over. I think if they stayed the course with Baker it could have worked. Tampa doesn’t have some kind of magic formula. He needed surgery and he needed to grow up a little. Oh well, can’t go back.

Let me guess, get DTR ready incase they need him, also add a package of DTR-specific plays and put him in in some spots, and be ready to have a quick hook with Winston if he throws a few INTs early in the game. The team is 3-10. I don’t wanna say “who cares” because I will be watching, but Jesus.

What is the Browns’ long term answer at quarterback?
comment in response to
post
They have underachieved yes. But they will probably win that division or at worst be a wildcard. Jimmy Haslam has the worst record in the NFL from his first season in 2012 to present day. Give the Browns credit, it is virtually impossible for them to underachieve with that kind of history.
comment in response to
post
The Browns are paying Deshaun Watson $230 million and are fighting for the #1 pick in the draft. The Steelers are paying Wilson $1 million and are going to win the division. The gap between these 2 organizations has never been wider.
comment in response to
post
Casario isn’t perfect but he has built a solid foundation of a team, was able to fleece another team on a trade for an overpaid, washed Qb, and seems to have Houston set up for success. Who would you rather be right now? The Texans or Browns?

I can’t really believe it but over the course of the last 24 hours I have completely embraced the nuclear option. Just clean house, rip it down to the studs and start over.

A lot will depend on whether or not they fire everyone. I don’t see how anyone is going to survive 3-14 (even 4-13).
