I still relish getting lambasted back at the nazi place, before it went full nazi, by people who had issue with me pointing out that a CEOs only job is to have meetings and act like they've drunk the company kool aid. Oh and fire people en masse.

I mean if we don't pay the wealthy CEOs this money then they'll leave the gig, and who could possibly replace them?
I mean besides other wealthy CEOs of course.

Greed does.

Just remember, changes in situations like this happen very slowly, and then suddenly all at once.

i mean everyone outside the US, whether a government, religious or company official, makes their decisions based on which US political party they favor.
this is common knowledge... to ALL the patriotic 'mericans

If you do and need someone to edit/process audio, I do that for a few other podcasts at decent rates.
I've been appreciating your work so would be fun to do.
Well, infuriating I'm sure, but still...

how do we change this culture? (semi-rhetorical)

it almost makes one wonder if university officials are more worried about the $ and influence they get from their positions than their supposed causes.
Lord knows those elementary school folks ain't getting $ or influence from their gigs.

one thing I think you've left out - he's failed UPWARD more than I thought it possible for any single human.
It's a thorough and depressing rebuke to any ideas of us living in a meritocracy.

I dunno if you will hear how sorry many of those people are. They've been deeply indoctrinated for a decade now.
and in the US we have a deeply ingrained culture of "never admit you're wrong, ever"

it's impressive to "misremember" something written in your freaking phone that is presumaby right there on you, by your side constantly.
did she "misremember" how to read too?

None of the horrible things these people do have been met by any negative consequences for them.
I see nothing here that will end any differently. All of our elites and institutions have capitulated.
Things will only change if/when it all topples. And even then Iām not so sure.

I'll believe it's genuine concern when he actual demonstrates it by action, not just statements.
Too many of our politicians behind the scenes are clearly getting some combo of rewarded/threatened to look the other way on this shit even if they aren't directly in on what's going on.

what are you even talking about?
CHIPS and Science act as one example, did actually help the economy.
There are plenty of awful things biden did (ignore gaza, ignore the 2021 coup, squash the train strike) but on this he was better than most of his predecessors of the last 40yrs
comment in response to

omg. I'm not suggesting anything of the sort. I was fucked as hard by these economies as many. not at all wealthy.
If the Biden economy was awful it was still the best economy we've had since the 90s IN HOW THEY MEASURE ECONOMIES.
biden did shitty stuff. the economy was not one of them
comment in response to

wow. the amount of lack of reading comprehension on here is pretty terrible - almost twitter like.
I've said nothing of the sort and am all for eating the rich.
But to claim that the Biden economy was somehow awful IN HOW WE MEASURE ECONOMIES is wrong.
almost as wrong as how we measure economies
comment in response to
post
ok Milton Friedman, tell me how you know differently - and better - than the economic reports out there.
I'm talking about how it's actually measured.
Yes our good economies have been a scam for all of us since the reagan years. But in comparison to our own economies, the biden years were good.

in my voting lifetime - the last 35+ years - I have watched every republican admin torch the economy and every dem, since carter at least, rebuild it.
don't get me wrong - the dems are useful tools here for the fasicsts, but the economic downturns are not at all on them.
comment in response to
post
you sound like you're confusing the fact that the metrics used to rate world economies do not necessarily reflect the realities of the non-wealthy citizens in that economy.
But by the metrics they use, we had the most robust.
comment in response to
post
um, like every economic report that had the US economy as the most robust in the world?

The United States is also a one-party state but, with typical American extravagance, they have two of them.
