Imagine dedicating two decades of your life to managing a man baby and still succeeding in supporting some of the most impressive feats of engineering ever completed.. only to have it all fall apart some random Thursday because the manbaby threw a fit. They're talking nationalization now...

Director credits are insane. Who gave him the keys to the Expendables? How do they even decide directors?

Sure, these days, but if you've ever heard an engineer lament about Martin Marietta you understand that we are not living in a healthy balance

Sounds like all the "oh he's been through some shit lately, so sad he got himself into this" talk seems to be missing that the thing he "got himself into" was a protracted hate crime culminating in his death perpetrated by his neighbors

I'm my ideal world, everyone has a PhD but still does boring physical labor because it's a more relaxed life. Also like a 20hr work week so we can all get out and see friends and family or go protest/parade for different niche causes

It feels pretty clear to me that the intent is to hurt intellectuals, regardless of how that looks or what has to be done to do it. I think aerospace just got caught up in it and we won't fully realize how interconnected everything is until we've fully lost it. But golden dome we've got money for...

We used to bid on some fairly ridiculous stuff. Things that actually took investment just to try out. Now we are starting to pull back on things that are a sure bet because we just don't know how they are expected to happen. As a industry, we are losing some serious infrastructure

Certainly a result of the current admin. 6mo ago the outlook was a lot different, with big bets being made internally on commercial/scientific projects. Now I'm just hearing about cuts and restructuring. I bet in another 6mo we will see some pretty heavy layoff across the board

I see the test line didn't appear, so this could be a false positive. Better go test again, just to be safe

Hey, you name me a cult that started on a good foundation, and I'll start to worry.
Also, I am like 100% going to be fine - worst comes to worse, I just go back to yelling at architects for a living. I'm more worried about my peers who don't have that flexibility, many of whom just won't come back

Lmao, I definitely should be pushing more Mooncult in the coming months. We need an astronomy-based cult to fight back against all the anti-intellectualism cults. I think another great cult would be a transhumanist one with a view that finds the current trans debate quaint

Good to know other people are regularly checking and blocking new follows too. I felt mean, but I know half of them are fake and the other half are freaks
