And TINY! The first time I saw a chipmunk it really threw me for a loop, because I'd assumed they were just less bushy squirrels.

We are firmly in our Bird Era over here. I don’t think I have it in me to get into birding super seriously, but I’m very content to just look at some Little Guys

I love these posts; thanks for your predictions! (also I LOVE Every Monday Mabel and I think about it on every single garbage day. So delightfully crafted, and also, garbage trucks.)

The peach iris that had a lazy one-standard bloom last year did it again! And one of the pallidas showed up with only two sets of petals. I’d never seen that before and it looks kind of cool. (That picture’s a few days old) bsky.app/profile/spar...

I hate the customer service bot-or-not mystery emails. I hate that they have me doubt EVERYONE’S customer service.

God of the Woods was so good! Woodworking by Emily St. James is probably the most engrossing novel I’ve read so far this year.

there’s so much of it in my neighborhood and it’s awful. keeps coming back even when I think I’ve got the entire root ball. pulling seedpods off while they’re still growing helps stop the spread!

you have my number, yes? text at any point for any reason. I'm an awkward supporter but a pretty decent distracter

It sounds awful but it surprisingly wasn’t!

…I’m not entirely sure I did. I hope the ones who stick around pay rent.

I’d always wondered why I’d never seen ballooning spiders, and it’s because they only release a couple thin strands and not a big obvious parachute, and because they are TINY. I know it sounds gross and creepy to be suddenly beset by baby spiders but it was actually pretty cool! …if annoying.

imagine 90s tech available in the 80s! the websites would look hyper rad! I mostly miss how you could make websites look kinda one-off and weird and didn’t have to worry about things working on 5 different devices
