They have to do it slowly enough that the people don't realize the rule of law no longer applies.
There's no longer a guarantee of due process if you get arrested.
I for one will physically fight back. There's a very real chance we'll end up in a Venezuelan concentration camp if we don't.

I think we're to the point where we have to stop pointing the finger at who should save us.
We're not going to get anywhere until we take matters into our own hands.
Its going to be uncomfortable, and its going to downright suck, but one by one, all other options are being eliminated.

That's a good point. Although generally you can find a linux compatible peripheral that serves a similar function.
But I could see that being really expensive for someone just joining the ecosystem.
