Some bands pay the artist only in posters which is only worth it
for a very small number of bands with large audiences who will pay good money for the posters. Otherwise you’re sat on a load of posters you can’t sell and essentially was never paid for the job.

And I don’t hold grudges or anything, the larger artists get bombarded with questions regularly and weird DMs, no one owes me their time , especially as I’m just a stranger on the internet to them. Someone who did help me was @hookieduke.bsky.social for both the posters and the MTG APs
