Movie you've seen more than six times as a gif? I repeatedly watched this on Laserdisc while stoned off my ass as a college freshman. Y2K was v glamorous.

I mean, A+ here, but seriously the last time I worked in a bookstore was 2013, and I had old men repeatedly explain to me that fiction was a frivolous waste of time. And dudes like that have been around so long that books have been making fun of them since at least the 1600s.

I'm looking for an app that can teach me Japanese but not conversational Japanese, I want to be able to understand all the Japanese Tamiya content on YouTube.

Catch my latest story in Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet!

Well, considering the amount of reclamation I've seen recently, Metallica seems to have outlasted their bad rep from the whole Napster thing. I guess now the standard is that artists aren't paid for their work anyway, so who cares what happened then?

I protested my ass off ~2001-2003. The invasion of Afghanistan was obviously symbolic at best, & the Iraq war was patently absurd on its face. Don't let anyone tell you we didn't know it was all a tissue of lies, or that it would be a fiasco. Don't let anyone tell you there wasn't dissent.

Me. I'm a content professional who does their best to keep AI out of the content stream. It frequently introduces inaccuracies, errors, or even larger structural issues to content that take careful attention to detect and unwind before they reach the public. Trust is hard win and easily lost.

Happy Captain Picard Day!

When you talk about LA, remember the city is 470 square miles and 4 million people, and the county is ten times the area with 10 million people. There were hundreds of protests. To think this place could be cowed by a handful of soldiers is laughable.

Canoga Park/Woodland Hills was peaceful

It's Father's Day weekend, I have the house all to myself for the first time in years and I just downloaded Promise Mascot Agency which is basically a Yakuza mini game on steroids and meth. But I have to go stand in the street all day because people are trying to do a fascism. I resent this.

"Contrary to conventional wisdom, the size and scale of anti-Trump protests this year have dwarfed those in 2017, and they have been extraordinarily peaceful.... [I]mmigration—and aggressive law enforcement responses to immigration-related protests—were key mobilizing issues in April and May."

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

Posting this 1967 Birmingham News editorial cartoon for all the people who don't realize that this is how MLK was viewed by a big chunk of white America.

Good Morning Comic Book Homies!

full house sequel show "fullest house" where the house is full of secret rooms and maze like passageways with a ton of heretofore unseen uncles and there are also "false uncles" and secret rare uncles only spoken of in whisper and a colony of golden labs and just loose beach boys roaming around
