I’m into books, baseball, music, movies, and Mexican food. I’m not into authoritarianism. Also, ketchup should be used sparingly on burgers and never on hotdogs.

At least one! For me, watching the Tonys is resistance.

For non theatre people like me, watching the Tonys is resistance.

At my age a lot of my watching the Tonys and the Grammys is just anthropological curiosity at how a different society expresses itself artistically.

Dem Senators and Representatives should go on record that all senior officers who violate their oath by complying with a Trump illegal order will be stripped of all honors and benefits the next Dem administration.

I don’t think getting married is what Gandhi meant when he said that suffering, when willingly and courageously endured, could be a powerful tool for resistance.

If Cuban doesn’t think there is a diversity of opinions here, he just needs to post about Altuve to see how wrong he is.

When I moved to Austin as a grad student in the late 80s, those short entry ramps onto the lower I35 deck were my entry into adulthood. Hit the gas and hope for the best.

In this timeline, Joseph Welch is censored after asking if Joe McCartney has no decency, Cronkite is fired after criticizing the Vietnam War, and the Washington Post pays Nixon off to settle a lawsuit over their Watergate reporting.

I’m truly regretting slapping you down on the other thread. You apparently have some issues going on that is making you obsess on this. Go in peace.

Let’s make a deal with the haters. For every trans woman athlete in a high school and above sport that wins a trophy at the expense of a non trans woman athlete, we will let them post the 10 Commandments in a classroom.

I heard Blummer say that 57% of their points have come with 2 outs. Next highest team was in the 40s. Wild.

I also note that your understanding of what free speech means is about on par with your understanding of what a “team” is.

So you have evidence that contradicts what the players told the MLB investigators? Or are you just trolling? Which would raise a question: why do trolls say “who cares?” while at the same time caring enough to troll?

In this universe, he didn’t cheat and no one who did in 2017 is currently on the team, so the team he’s playing for didn’t cheat its way to a WS crown. But thanks for checking in from your alternate reality.

“No sense in arguing about it” Because you don’t have the chops to do it. “I said Altuve is a cheater and then you guys melted and threatened people…” I did neither. I gave you very clear bases for my position and I called you a trolling dick. If you’re going to troll, don’t be a baby too.

“These are real people with real families “ Cross reference with “banality of evil.” See Arendt, H., “Eichmann in Jerusalem” (1963).

Pretty impressive for someone to have a 300+ average who isn’t any good. That deserves special accolades.
comment in response to post
Yeah, you’re not engaging with anyone about any actual argument. You’re just trolling. You know if you get in the weeds on what the actual score is beyond your meme knowledge you’ll get your ass kicked. Just keep on trolling, troll.

People can call out the 2017 team for cheating and say the 2017 title is tainted. Fine. Don’t care. But to single out Altuve (and, for some, promote bullshit wire conspiracies), or to call the 2025 team “cheaters” is just being a trolling dick. And then they cry for being called out for being a dick
comment in response to post
You can think whatever bullshit you want to, but it’s not “blind” to know that the 2017 players told the MLB investigators, under an agreement that required truthfulness, that Altuve and Kemp didn’t participate. So fuck off with your sanctimonious ignorance. We know the score. You know memes.
comment in response to post
I mean hell, even opposing players didn’t call out cheating players. The White Sox figured out the Astros were electronically stealing signs in 2017 and didn’t publicly make a stink about it.
comment in response to post
It’s weird how often pro Altuve “loons” are able to take the “sane” Altuve haters to the rhetorical woodshed.
comment in response to post
How many teammates of the PED users do you think knew about the PED cheating? Are they all cheaters too? Why is Altuve the only player I’m aware of who has been targeted for knowing about other teammates cheating and “letting it happen”?
