At this point I’m fairly convinced that the only thing keeping Trump from running in 2028 is that he’s kinda lazy and already made the criminal cases against him go away and might even lose so why bother

Also possible the Supreme Court rules that yes sure the 22nd says no third term but states can’t enforce that, that’s up to Congress alone, wink wink Relying on Congress to do nothing is one of Roberts’ favorite moves

"Look we could've just taken over a sovereign country but we didn't" strong pitch for his Nobel prize

15. Level Devil Comedy is hard in games. This is a platforming game (kinda) but it's also a game that's constantly playing tricks on you, and that's the point. Every stage is like a little prank, and the trick is figuring out the gimmick. Highly recommended. store.steampowered.com/app/3242750/...

174. Chu Chu Rocket The GBA had tons of big franchise games but also a lot of weird little oddities that were perfect for handheld gaming. Chu Chu Rocket was a great example of this. The ideal strange simple idea that you could pop in, solve a few puzzles, and then play something else. #365games

173. Fire Emblem I mentioned before how Advance Wars primed me for Fire Emblem, but obviously the latter has had more staying power. This was probably the first game to really test my patience with permadeath. The series has gotten more generous since then but what a bold choice. #365games

172. Metroid Fusion Metroid games have always been rare and precious, since Nintendo doesn't release them often. Fusion was the first one since Super Metroid, and despite being a little talky it was an immediate classic for me. Plus, having a Metroid sized adventure in handheld form! #365games

I do love this podcast but unfortunately the natural byproduct of episodes in the Trump era is episodes like this where they have to find a guest to forcefully argue in favor of absurd propositions

Might I suggest it’s just the water we’re all swimming in now

But it seems like maybe even that didn’t work…? bsky.app/profile/hell...

I know the idea is to project strength but this reads to me like they’re trying to give an on-ramp to the anti-war MAGA faction to come back into the fold while still saving face

not exactly the point but why does the transportation secretary have an opinion on how may kids I have, why is that worth noting, how is that part of his job description

I refuse to believe anyone thinks JD Vance is cool

171. Advance Wars For some reason war is on my mind! Loved the surprising level of depth to the strategy in this neat little portable game. Obviously it's gone on to inspire a bunch of others, and this primed me to later love the Fire Emblem series for many of the same reasons. #365games

170. WarioWare: Mega Microgames I could talk about how this kicked off a whole wild subgenre that's incredibly inventive and cool and fun, and all that's true. But my fondest memory for this game is playing it while using an exercise bike to get (kinda) in shape before I got married. #365games

3. It turns out we didn’t quite destroy all the facilities, so we either 3a. Keep bombing and raising the risks of retaliation each time or 3b. Just declare victory anyway and let them keep developing a nuke

So now he either has to keep bombing (and raising the risks of retaliatory strikes and a protracted conflict) or stop there and let the facility continue to work on a bomb Great job dipshit

Yeah I think a lot of people forget that the ROM collection part was really mind-blowing back then, that was the hook for a lot of people (including me) more than the life sim aspects

14. Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour I actually think this oddity is decent in a lot of ways, but the price tag just demands way too much attention because it's so senseless. www.gamespot.com/reviews/nint...

169. Zelda: LTTP and Four Swords A bit of a cheat since this is just a port of one of my favorite games of all time, but the Four Swords thing was a neat hook that at least gave it a little more substance. I don't think I ever played through the full Four Swords campaign, though. #365games

168. Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town In college, roommate and I were stuck on campus during a long break with almost no one else around. We bought copies of this and holed up in our apartment hanging out and tending our farms. When I'm nostalgic for Harvest Moon, it's that memory. #365games
