I still want to work as animator, comic author, or game artist, but I'm not so inclined to do it for a company that expects me to do a 60 hour work week.

Remembering a comics pro lamenting no one wanting to be an interior artist and wondering why that is. Everyone pointed out that the pay wasn't good enough, no benefits, tight schedules, and there wasn't much room to make your own thing even post Image.

I don't know what I'm pursuing career wise anymore. I'm just tired of wanting to be a craftsman, looking into an industry, only to find it's built on the exploitation of the kinds of people I revere.
