I don’t remember Republicans saying we are all gonna die when the UNH CEO was shot. None of them thought cruelty was cool at that time. Funny how their views change when the victims change.

There are 9 GOP reps in the house from CA and the majority is less than that. What do they do if they aren’t getting their fair share from Trump? They can’t get reelected as Republicans, do they turn Dem and change the house to majority Dem? Do they vote for impeachment?
comment in response to post
The Dems always let the GOP define the argument and then wonder why a popular side of an issue is the losing one. Trumps “big, beautiful bill” should instead be called the “Medicare, Hospital killing bill” or something like that

It was obvious that Trump was doing tariffs, extreme deportation and cutting federal jobs.

But universities knew that the US college age population was going flat/decline in the 2020’s so they were going to be hard pressed to increase domestic students without decreasing their standards

Think about how this effected coverage of Biden last summer. Tapper had to be rooting for Biden missteps and could talk about them every day trying to stir up fodder for his book while pretending to be a neutral party.

Scott Bessent is more serious than Miller

They are liars, racists liars

MAGA did vote for this, they want the country to be majority white if not all white. They are pretending to care about this woman but they don’t. The want minorities to be kicked out and she is price they will gladly pay. They don’t want reporters to call them a**holes

At least throw the prosecutors in jail for awhile, make them get bailed out, make them face contempt charges

I don’t know why a writer wouldn’t let LLM take a shot at the story they are writing if only to get the work done faster or the word count up. You don’t have to use any of it if u don’t like it and u have to fact check it. Of course a lot of stories can’t use LLM’s at all

The thing is none of this is about Biden’s performance as President. Anyway u look at it he was doing a great job. So they made up other issues to talk about. He looked tired or sounded tired. how about the bills he passed and they way we were the envy of the world for the recovery for Covid

Me..that’s who will sleep with liberal women. Sounds to me like Kid Rock doesn’t like women, I would guess the feeling is mutual.

As long as voters are willing to vote for politicians that they know are lying/liars we are screwed as a democracy.

Plus it saves money. If DOGE was really about saving $$$, they would be implementing National Healthcare and saving hundreds of billions a year but they haven’t even looked at it

This shows what an unforced error it was for Schumer to help Trump get the CR passed. If debt ceiling hadn’t been raised ICE would be limited in its spending. Prisons, special flights to El Salvador, agents traveling all over the country is very expensive. But thanks to Schumer it’s all funded

RR is big in the defense industry, making jet engines. That’s probably why they got the waiver. RR engines are used on B-52’s and others

That’s great until the dictator decides it’s your turn to jump out a window. These policies are a disaster for everyone except Trump. Look at Gates and Buffet they know this is bad for themselves

Not all the rich will still be rich. Take Musk for example, good chance TSLA goes to 0. That’s most of his wealth, if he falls out with Trump and SpaceX losses its value that’s pretty much the rest. A lot of multimillionaire’s and farmers depend on trade especially with China.

Too bad God didn’t think to let JK Rowling write the Bible. Probably a lot more of his followers would read it.
comment in response to post
Plus Musk is known to have no issue with cutting corners when it comes to other stuff so it’s likely he’s got some crazy accounting on his taxes that he doesn’t want audited

You can’t flip seats if they aren’t up for election. Lots of targets for Dems and the economy is going to be a disaster for GOP. How are Republicans going to defend tax cuts for Billionaires when unemployment, inflation, deficit are high?
comment in response to post
Doesn’t Amazon have to show the tariffs on its bills, businesses demand itemized receipts? From what I know they are going to show up as some kind of tax. Am I missing something?

“Hard working” even so callled news is peak satire now
comment in response to post
It had to happen, better sooner than later. When will sanity come to the rest of his tariff craziness

Right but it’s incorrectly attributed to FDR often, so I think that’s what he’s going for

There’s too much easy money from ripping people off. Ramaswamy became a billionaire by selling a repackaged failed product and then going bankrupt in a few years. He should be in jail instead he’s planning on running for Senate

They are trying to maximize their pay, not produce the best results. Same reason they had Harris spend all her money on TV/radio ads instead of Social media because they get kickbacks from TV/radio
comment in response to post
Trump is like a blackmailer, once he finds out u will pay, he keeps asking for more. The sooner u take a stand against him the less it costs you

Can’t you use AI to produce a transcript? It’s really good at stuff like that

Japan definitely sold treasuries and caused a big part of the spike, China sold some too

I wonder if any of the 5 conservative judges who voted for this realize that now they too can be disappeared and they won’t get due process and they might never come back
comment in response to post
I don’t know this is really bad..Trump is probably gonna make money on this but a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money. Some of the oligarchs are going to go bankrupt (maybe even Elon)
comment in response to post
We need to start doing the same to Trump. One thing we know Trump wants is $$$..if the protests start hitting Trump in the wallet he might rethink his policies
comment in response to post
How do conservatives get to be terrible at everything and somehow still have the nerve to blame the left? They have no solutions to modern problems but still get a voice in the debate
comment in response to post
It’s like when Trump/GOP talks about bringing back coal. Nobody wants to work in the coal mines, those jobs suck. How do people fall for this crap?
comment in response to post
Definitely wouldn’t report. Elon was promising 2 years of pain…you would think it would be a huge story..but voters said they thought Trump would be better for economy
comment in response to post
They don’t like GOP policies but they keep voting republican. Why would their Senators take them seriously when they can make up a story about immigrants or trans people and get the votes they need
comment in response to post
I think they are more about donor money than votes/popularity…especially if they are in safe districts

The Evil , racist President is out smarting Dems, playing 3D chess OR he’s just being evil, hmmm… hard to know

What’s the point of hiring good lawyers if totally unprepared ones are winning their cases?
comment in response to post
U need to make them fight for everything. Make the GOP shutdown the government or make them make huge concessions. We need fighters not compromise

Are u surprised the Eagles didn’t match that offer? Seems pretty reasonable to me. Not sure how many openings Philly has except for CB

But it doesn’t occur to them that when push comes to shove the mercenaries are definitely going to get rid of the billionaire. If might makes right, might will take over
