Terrible punctuation there. It's been a long day.

See, this is why Kieran shouldn't have been killed off. 😁

WHAT?! Well, I'm not at ALL envious of that. Much.

Watch 12 Monkeys! (The TV show, not the movie.) Not only do you get Shaw's roots, but there's a goodly amount of references from that show in Picard.
Also, it's just really good sci-fi.

Yeah, I definitely know! *waves a hand at the lunacy she's embarked on*

I possibly shouldn't admit to the latter. In my defence, I was corrupted by the Master at 6 years old. The Dark Side has cookies (aka hot bad guys.)

I've also realised that I assumed he'd know who Vic and Bob are, and maybe shouldn't? The man hasn't seen Black Books! Or, shockingly, Red Dwarf.
Then again, I was unaware of 12 Monkeys until after Picard. Still not sure how that happened. It's perfectly me (and Deacon is out of my dream journal.)

The lighting people were doing God's work here.

I'm not sure why the preview isn't working. But someone made Todd a model of the Titan-A and put it in a box with Titan from 12 Monkeys.

So, I suppose I ought to be grateful to Matalas for that decision. I'm not sure it would be true had Shaw survived.
Because I liked Liam, but it took him dying to realise just how much he'd got under my skin. I might, eventually, write an essay on it. ✍️

Matalas was the showrunner on 12 Monkeys, and Picard had several of its writers. Shaw was written for Todd, off how he played Deacon, so he literally was made for the role.
There are so many Monkeys Easter eggs in Picard! I'm not spoiling anything, because spotting them is fun. 😁

It really is. He's just so good at getting an audience to care. Annoyingly so. 😅
Have you watched 12 Monkeys? God, the number of times he's ripped me apart in that show, and I'm not even through it yet!
I refuse point blank to watch The Originals. I know what happens, and nope, absolutely not. 🫣

That's... a different story to one he's previously told. 😅
The sailor is him, and the mermaid is Charity. And it's *Matilda*, so that doesn't even work... 🤔
Not saying it isn't true, mind. Just not what he's said before. 😂

1) No one is ever truly dead in sci fi.
2) I would pay very good money to see Liam Shaw curtsy.

Given *everything* Todd has been in, I'm shocked that Picard was my first experience of him, being a sci fi nerd.
It was Vox. Feeling bereft and being annoyed about that, then going on to X to tell him. His header was the nerd lair and when I realised he was One of Us... Yeah, I stood no chance. 😅

"Cute asshole" is accurate, to be honest. 🤣
