Gender segregation in sports generally is also not actually a very nuanced topic. In most every case, the segregation exists at the level where men couldn't handle losing to women and forced the segregation, and any comparative performance differences are largely down to lack of support for women.

Absolutely not. Democrats must ask why Republicans are so fucking weird and why they are so obsessed with children's genitals. Trans girls are girls and should play girls' sports on girls' teams and in girls' competitions. Trans women are women and should be allowed to play with other women.
