Some firms I've bought from send the "how was/review your product?" email BEFORE the item has been dispatched. It shows a disconnect in logistics that makes the company look bad.
Worse, though, is the knowledge that anything other than full marks probably punishes the store staff in some way.

I've never forgotten having essays returned with "source?" written next to my sweeping statements of personal-opinion-as-popular-opinion & guesses-as-research. I was still at school at the time.
My teacher may have made me a better writer but clearly robbed me of a career at the Grauniad.
