Saturday is California Adopt-a-Pet Day. Adoption fees are waived statewide. This is great! Except an unfortunate number of pets who get adopted on fee-free days get returned to shelters, b/c the adopters didn't realize the scope of the responsibility. Please do adopt, but adopt informed & for keeps!
