It's going to take some people longer than others to realize that a (D) next to your name doesn't automatically mean "on our side" What a person does matters. We're not rooting for blue jerseys here.

I remember being told that we really need to "go after those Talibanese people" after 9/11.

That's 2 of these I've seen. 1 more and I'm staying up too late tonight!

I think Sen Padilla may have been radicalized today. Being forced face down and into cuffs has to have an impact. His face during his "If they do this to a senator, what are they doing to the farm workers..." interview was PAINED. That man looked like he sees the bigger picture.

The way to beat Trump's fake populism is with real economic populism: - genuine solutions like rent control and free fast busses - directing the deep well of public anger up at the oligarchs, not the vulnerable. This is what Trump fears most - and it's why he never wanted to run against Bernie

It’s like yelling at water about the proper way to boil.

This is the true trillion dollar use case for AI. I'd break out my pocketbook

The question of how we will get along with people who supported Trump, who've since had a change of heart, does not keep me up at night. Our inability to work cohesively with people who more or less want what we want—that fucks with me relentlessly.

I'm not sure if you are the "Susan of Texas" that left Twitter a year+ before everyone else, but I hope so. I've missed reading your posts.

My heart rate is up 30bpm just reading this thread. And people think AI is going to solve everything. JUST LET ME TALK TO A PERSON! Anyway... best of luck to you. I hope after this gets ironed out you are only out 1 afternoon's hours and not $1100.

Reading that thread has my blood pressure through the roof. The gloating is unreal. Just take it easy on the poor liberal who makes that mistake. They aren't ready.

I can't get over the double scare quotes. It might be 'harmful' It might be 'therapy' Pick a lane. It is a harmful report, and it's not 'therapy'

I'd like to thank the Kroenkes stand-off with Comcast for forcing me to find other avenues for watching sports. There was truly no way to watch the Nuggets in Colorado for *years* without a full Dish Network subscription with Altitude add on. Streamed dot su is my favorite right now.

Have you seen the Slate truck (set for release in 2026)? I'm very interested. Love the idea of a truck that is a reasonable size.

This is the best thing I've read all week. I happened to catch you mid-thread, and was waiting for each post. I had no idea a potato bar could enthrall me so. Thank you!

We had a little Maltese mix that would have that exact conversation everyday through our backyard fence with pitbull on the other side (mind you, this fence is 30yrs old and may not do the job of holding back an angry pit) The swagger of our little dog after those fence protected showdowns...

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.
