On two separate occasions today I got to spend time with good friends. I would highly recommend this. If food and beverages are involved it’s even better. Anthony Bourdain knew what he spoke about in this regard. The world is still on fire, but getting hyper local with people you care about is best.

Was standing at a Rémy Martin and Mango juice bar at a launch event for A Passage to Viet Nam in San Francisco (late 90s). Asked for a double Rémy, no Mango and a voice beside me said “I didn’t realize we could do that, same for me!”. It was Todd Rundgren. All I could think to say was “cheers!”
