It must be terrible to go through life feeling as threatened and insecure as these bigots do.

The Andrews Sisters of Minneapolis sang about Broadway ("Lullaby of Broadway") and the Hotel Pennsylvania (in NYC!) ("PEnnsylvania 6-5000").

Grateful that a kind-of-expected time commitment popped into my time line on very short notice but has been postponed by the weather so I can attend to the rest of life, which is quite busy right now. A reminder to trust the timing of the universe.

I mowed half my city lot this morning and it was okay. Glad I didn't have to do the full yard. But, then, I expected absolutely terrible conditions so I was pleasantly surprised when they weren't.
Definitely better outside sitting in the shade with a cool drink.

We take any opportunity given us to get stuff out of my mom's house. Most of it ends up recycled, going to the thrift shop, or (last resort) trashed. But it's out of her house so we don't have to deal with it later.

What about artists named after fictional entities, like Duran Duran (character from the film Barbarella)? Their music is, in a way, a product.

Haven't heard (or thought about) that brand name in -- uhh -- *many* decades. Still around...

Between headlines like this and their new paywall, I don't think I need to bother with CNN anymore.

Been there. Hang in there. You're good. Don't let them politic you out of believing that.

Looks like it may be with a third-party provider. I have a bunch of non-StarTribune Web sites coming up flat right now.

When I was working, sometimes that was when I could fit mowing among work, other commitments, and weather. I also tried not to mow when neighbors were enjoying *their* city lot.
This is not you, but the flip side of this is the NextDoor crowd antsy about residents who don't mow "on time".

WBAI was also involved in the George Carlin "Seven Words" Supreme Court decision, for airing the uncensored bit.

Thank you for *your* attention to this matter!
Also, it's 2025. Why does he have to tweet IN ALL CAPS? Just totally out of it.

Germany did not allow Nazi symbols to persist for 100 years. It would be nice if this country could learn some things from other countries' experiences but...

I think this mark will be permanent, like the stain the Nazis left in Germany. But, as Germany showed, it is possible to move away from the stain and let it serve as a reminder to stain no more.

Grateful that I'm retired. However, somehow I'm missing out on that "being able to set my own hours" thing. We do *a lot* of stuff on other peoples' timetables. Not complaining, just noting.

It's a shame they can't let the kids stay in the center and have support staff come in to help. Does not address the vocational part of it but could solve the 161-new-beds issue.

Not my pic but my recipe comes out looking like this. This recipe is from eatwellenjoylife.com and it looks good but I can't do the honey the author specifies. My recipe is in the alt text because it's longer than a skeet. Nice mild flavor and a fun way to use rhubarb.

Grateful that we still have very functional public libraries. It's possible to reserve books, music, movies, all for free, and if your local branch doesn't have your preference, they likely can get it from another library. A wonderful system.

Construction *is* making that trip a pain now. But it won't always be that way. And I don't know if the other pharmacies offer services like delivery (including OTC items) and immunizations (outside of their nearby clinics). No affiliation other than being a happy customer (braving the traffic).

Recipe is too long for a skeet but it fits in alt text. I don't remember where the original came from but it's been adapted over the years.

Saint Paul Corner Drug on Snelling & St. Clair is not that far away either, and offers many of the same services that West Seventh does. Surprised they were not mentioned as an alternative. Not quite in the neighborhood but not that far outside of it.

How about savory recipes? I make a baked chicken with rhubarb sauce and a rhubarb-chili pulled pork. Both are quite popular among those to whom I serve them.

Unhinged. Absolutely and totally unhinged. And unfit for the office he holds. (Or any office outside of his little crime family.)
