And repeats his shameful diatribe about Canada being taken over by the US.

Soybean farmers don't need many workers because everything is harvested by a large machine that only requires one person to operate.

In season 1, each episode keeps getting better and better. Imo it's just so brilliantly written.

It's my favorite series of all time, and I'm not very young. I love cerebral sci-fi.

Some still voting Republican are just deeply brainwashed to believe that it's the Democrats that want to destroy the country. I know one elderly person who is kind to others including minorities, but is unreachable after 30 years of Fox News.

That's something I've also thought about recently. Most farmers still think Trump is the best because it's never been about economics. It's about the culture war.

We're entering a very dark period internationally.

It's also weird and frankly quite horrible to see that the US now seems to be joining Putin's side.

I think cherry picking is a prerequisite for all believers of religious texts.

We really don't know who he was as he didn't write anything and those who did write things about Jesus did so more than 70 years after the fact.

Very true. Fox News either twisted the news enough or outright lied to give my elderly parents something to fear and something to be angry about on a nightly basis.

I prefer that these evil people be held accountable now instead of wishing that there is a mythical place of torture waiting for them.

For me, clever is more important. However, clever people tend to also have a decent dry sense of humor.

If karma existed, then we would conclude that anyone who is suffering must have done something to deserve it.

It's genuinely alarming of how many want to send Dr Fauci to prison.

At least from my understanding, b2b sales is slightly less soul crushing than sales to consumers. If you can't start over, then probably the best thing to do is to find new ways to save money so that you can retire as early as possible. Whatever happens, enjoy the simple things about being alive.

I think that working in sales is soul crushing for many decent people with a conscience. Is it possible to change careers even if you need to start near the bottom?

I asked that question as a doubting seminary student and was told that we won't remember things on earth. This then begs the question of what the purpose of living on earth is. We become the people we are through life's experiences.

Realizing that some loved ones should have died by now, and therefore must be in hell would also be traumatizing.
