San Francisco had a bill to ban child circumcision, the aclu wrote a letter in support of unnecessary child circumcision if the parents wanted it, their letter of support is still on their page if you google “aclu San Francisco circumcision”

We’ve ignored scientific papers showing circumcision is damaging sexually and sensation wise, doesn’t prevent STDs (Denmark study of over 36 years of health data for 800,000 men), leads to ptsd symptoms and other mental health issues since it’s been done on infants without anything for the pain

@aclu.org in 2011 you defended human rights abuses by defending non consensual and unnecessary child genital cutting, no child deserves to have a permanently damaging circumcision forced on them. Genitals shouldn’t have scars

We do need more houses, and specifically middle housing-between suburban single family house and apartments -that we’ve essentially banned in the U.S. with zoning laws
comment in response to

People need places to live, what we really need is to allow housing to be more dense where the demand is so there isn’t a constant sprawl of single family suburban houses

It’s so weird that often the same parents that hate tattoos are fine with circumcision, only one of the two is permanent damage and non consensual
comment in response to

I’d argue that it depends on whether the owner of the switch has consented to the damage or not

Only if indoctrinated in the U.S. they remove a lot more than the tip past the glans that they removed in biblical cuts. Doctors are removing back to the base of the glans trying to get baby penises to look like adult penises, because society thinks this is ok. Foreskin is there for many reasons
comment in response to

We should instead be investigating doctors that do unnecessary circumcisions on minors, surgeries the patient DIDN’T consent to, DIDN’T need, and statistically would NEVER choose for themselves. circumcision is damaging, unethical and most other countries don’t do it. @aclu.org start defending kids

@webmd.com circumcision became popular in America partially because it was thought to reduce masturbation by reducing pleasure, and with the many downsides such as loss of nerves, sensation, and gliding function it is quite damaging. Inform parents about the downsides, stop the #disinformation

It’s been many more years that we’ve known that male circumcision is harmful, but @hrw.org has only posted about FGM and not MGM. Both are damaging and unethical things to do to non consenting children. No more #GenitalMutilation regardless of male or female

@webmd.com but yet you still can’t figure out the many benefits and functions of the foreskin
comment in response to
post
It absolutely is NOT. Religions that circumcise view it as a sacrifice, as in giving up something good. Pointing out that circumcision has real harm associated with it is just acknowledging reality. Do you really think removing 40% of the most sensitive skin doesn’t affect function or sensation?

How do you get that? Religions that circumcise view it as a sacrifice, as in giving up something good. Pointing out that circumcision has real harm associated with it is just acknowledging reality. Do you really think removing 40% of the most sensitive skin doesn’t affect function or sensation?

I agree, circumcision is a really gross thing to do to someone, nobody should have their property damaged due to another person’s preference
comment in response to

It does do a lot of damage to circumcise, best to leave it as is
comment in response to
post
It’s there for a reason, best to leave it to work as intended

Very much agree, it’s designed to work a certain way and after restoring my protective foreskin after it was damaged by someone else shortly after unboxing it works so much better, really feels like it plays the way it should now, it has many benefits and feels more comfortable
comment in response to

Isn’t that basically saying he’s not American or of a couple religions
comment in response to

Sadly removal is still common thing so many players will have to resort to repairing it to get the correct functionality, it’s sad that many players have their console damaged by others as soon as it comes out of the box and couldn’t have been left with an intact console to play
comment in response to
post
That is possibly the toughest thing about restoring, seeing the benefits and dealing with denial and misinformation saying “you didn’t get those benefits back, it doesn’t matter”, when the benefits we see are so clearly there, like we found a cheat code to information we weren’t supposed to ever get
comment in response to
post
I hear you, the best summary I can give after restoration about the benefits is: “feels like I was born to have one”
comment in response to
post
Why not get back the benefits that you can? It’s absolutely worth the effort!
comment in response to

@aclu.org do you think every child deserves the right to intact genitals and protection from unnecessary circumcision? You didn’t in 2011 when you sided with the pro child genital cutting side. Why do you only support some freedoms?
comment in response to
post
@aclu.org why not also support everyone’s rights to their own genitals and change your stance to be against infant circumcision, when people that get to choose almost never choose the damaging surgery that harms function how can you defend it as you did in 2011?
comment in response to

@webmd.com men would be better off mentally and physically if their genitals were left intact, but due to misinformation on certain sites like @webmd.com people think the foreskin doesn’t have the benefits it does have like gliding functionality and increased sensation. Stop the #disinformation
comment in response to

Breast cancer is 12,500 times more likely than penile cancer, but @webmd.com list a penile cancer reduction as a benefit of #circumcision, but leaves out that little detail. Really makes it obvious how desperate they are to pretend circumcisions is ethical, when it’s quite damaging and morally wrong
comment in response to
post
We could use someone to fight boy’s rights to their genitals. It’s absolutely insane that we pretend that cutting off their foreskins doesn’t have any negative repercussions such as loss of the most sensitive nerves, the gliding sensation/function and protective cover to keep the glans sensitive.
comment in response to
post
@webmd.com don’t cut that foreskin! The foreskin provides many benefits including the most sensitive nerves, gliding mechanism/function and a projective cover to keep the glans sensitive. Yes, even boys are harmed by cutting up their genitals!
comment in response to
post
@reprorights.bsky.social Not true at all, circumcision is still legal here and takes away the basic rights to men’s bodies permanently. Circumcision damages sensation, function and appearance and is almost always done for someone else’s desires and not the desires of the person being modified
comment in response to
post
While it’s not 100% there is stretching to grow new foreskin and get some functionality and benefits back, and hopefully Foregen eventually succeeds
comment in response to

But yet the @aclu.org supported an obvious pro religious agenda by assisting in blocking the anti circumcision bill in San Francisco in 2011, it’s obvious circumcision would be illegal if it wasn’t for religion, no one should have that damage forced on them, it’s unethical and immoral
comment in response to
post
The AAP still hasn’t figured out that the foreskin has benefits and cutting out of is terrible health policy, even though other countries stopped doing this. I’d have more trust in them if they didn’t act like it was a controversial viewpoint that removing 40% of the penile skin could be a bad thing
comment in response to

That seems a bit harsh don’t you think?

Weird that their study lists medical treatments that they think are wasteful but missed the one every other country has stopped or greatly moved away from as the costs don’t justify the harm: circumcision, it’s damaging and unethical to force that damage on children. Genitals shouldn’t have scars
comment in response to

Also according to at least one study:
-Circumcision removes the most sensitive parts
-circumcision is associated with ptsd symptoms in children
-circumcision may INCREASE STD risk
-circumcision reduces sexual enjoyment for both men and women
Stop #GenitalMutilation, stop villainizing the #foreskin

I’m sure he’ll be glad you did, it’s amazing how ingrained in the culture circumcision is, just astonishing that it’s incomprehensible to some people that cutting off part of the genitals is damage and not a good thing
comment in response to
post
We’ve used junk studies to keep circumcision in the U.S. legal and often paid for, while the rest of the world’s health systems have long ago realized how it’s terrible health policy to damage children’s genitals against their will. It’s time to stand for bodily rights for both men and women
comment in response to

You cover this but your “medical” site still hasn’t discovered the basic benefits of a #foreskin. The gliding sensation and function, the most sensitive nerves, the comfort of having internal parts be internal. Stop #misleading #parents @webmd.com
comment in response to
post
But yet you defended the right to force religious genital cutting on minors (circumcision) in 2011. It’s obviously only legal due to religious pressure as the supposed benefits would be completely unjustifiable for other damaging surgeries, and sadly often done just for profit today
comment in response to

@who.int world health should include ethical and moral considerations, no boy should have their genitals cut up and damaged via circumcision without it being their choice. Health includes bodily autonomy, physical, mental and sexual health. Stop #GenitalMutilation

They could have eliminated actual waste and banned any coverage for unnecessary child circumcision, is so sad that we still damage boy’s genitals at a parent’s request
comment in response to

@webmd.com any chance you will ever make an attempt to learn about the many beneficial aspects of the #foreskin? The gliding sensation/function, the most sensitive nerves, that it protects the glans for sensitivity/comfort? Instead your site pretends it does nothing, don’t misinform parents!

2/2 why the personal attack?, why try to create a false “if you compare it to fgm you lose” why is it so hard to accept that cutting off 40% of the skin of the penis could be bad and could impact function.
comment in response to

Here’s a medical study that actually measured the sensitive areas, including the foreskin, a great example of why relying on Wikipedia can be very bad, i was left with some inner foreskin, it is absolutely more sensitive than the glans, just as the actual study shows

Today fgm is very often done to girls by mothers…. Very similar to mgm done to males by the father. Cultural traditions are very hard to break, for the sane reason it’s hard to convince men not to cut, it’s hard to convince women not to cut their daughters. Traditions can be cruel
comment in response to
post
is it that the two are so similar it makes you uncomfortable, both remove the most sensitive nerves, both are culturally done supposedly for tradition/societal benefits, both are forced on non consenting children. Yes some uncommon forms of female are extreme but most are similar in damage
comment in response to
post
to the first part of your question, very few intact men choose to get cut, likely because they see where the sensation is and have seen that foreskin maintenance is quite trivial, it’s the reverse that has more denial, as cut men don’t know what they are missing as it’s typically been forced on them
comment in response to
post
Not quite the case, the most sensitive parts of the male penis is the inner foreskin by far (sorrells fine touch study of the penis) and the foreskin has over twice the nerves the clitoris has, plus the foreskin adds a very improved mechanical aspect to the way the penis works
