Nah. They invested their oil tax revenues to create a public wealth fund. We didn’t. I agree that unrestrained l privatisation has been a disaster for the U.K however.

End of two party politics doesn’t mean the conservatives
Couldn’t be the majority party. They almost certainly will be the majority at some point. Writing them off is premature and dangerous.

Problem with this logic is that people said exactly the same about Labour after the Foot years and after the Corbyn years. One good leader, or a crisis, can change everything. Hope you are right, but not at all certain.

So is the rest of the UK mate. Including the English regions.

This is exactly the same as the cult of Brexit in the U.K.

Saturdays game reinforced what I have thought since Sept. It was madness to spend 2/3 of our available transfer budget on a goalkeeper, achieving a marginal improvement in that position when there was so many other positions to address, particularly the strikers.

Usually agree with you but not on this. It always surprises me just how opposed to immigration the vast majority of people are. I think anti-immigration policies reflect public opinion (as much as I think it’s wrong). A key issue is that all parties haven’t set out a case for immigration.

Totally agree. A point away at Swansea on the back of four wins is massive.

Not sure that, in his mind, a third term will necessarily require him to run in an election

Yes that’s a good shout. In all honesty I think it’s going to be on a knife edge between us, Oxford, Cardiff and Stoke. I think if we beat Stoke on the final day we stay up.

Plymouth, Luton, Oxford. The third place is so hard to call. I’ve gone for Oxford on the basis of their remaining fixtures (they have to play Leeds, Sunderland, Boro and Sheff Utd)

6 goals so far in last 3 games, from a side that didn’t look like it could score in a year. Unbelievable impact of Eustace and proper, professional, coaching staff.

What a coincidence; looking for car parts this morning, 99% of European-based websites (esp 🇩🇪) no longer ship to 🇬🇧. For outlets in the UK that do import those parts, they cost more+ ridiculous postage. Part in EU IS €44; imported part cost £85. Thanks Brexit 😡

I worry about the summer window. Unless DC has the spine to move on Pearce and the Recruitment team, we will just get another window as bad as the last two. And that leaves JE no chance. Whoever thought Oxford’s head of recruitment and two cricket guys was the way forward was utterly misguided

Absolutely sensational interview skills. Best interviewer in the British media right now.

The EU/UK needs to offer Zelensky the mineral deal and plug the gap covered by any American withdrawal of funding. That’s cuts that piece of work Trump out of any negotiation. Screw him. What a piece of work. Even by their standards, this treatment of a genuine hero is shocking

There’s huge difference between defending a small countries right to exist and embarking on unprovoked warfare and aggression against the whole of Europe.

Spot on. Can’t even see a goal let alone a win. Just don’t attack the goal at all. It’s so painful.

A small country gets invaded by a monstrous dictator, and Trump sees it as an opportunity to steal their minerals. It’s hard to comprehend the inhumanity. #usa

If he still has legs he could be a brilliant free agent signing. Our side needs his experience.

Keep hearing Trump
Is smart/clever. I don’t think so. I honestly think he is just dim. Thick as mince actually.

Does anyone understand what the difference is between a HOTA and Head of Recruitment? It’s all excuse-making BS.

Spot on. Just like Brexit I’d say.
