I'll bet that banner is still available, folded up in a Navy storage facility somewhere.

At this point, we're down to about one ally. And that's mostly a one-way relationship.

There are many targets left. And many of them belong to us.

Iran's first moves will be to shell American bases and mine the Straits of Hormuz. And the Houtis will of course terminate their informal pact with the U.S., as they said they would. No way this is the end; it's just getting started. It's deja vu all over again.

I don't live anywhere near NYC, so I suppose their choice for mayor has zero effect on me. My big concern is that this positions him to make a serious run for president in 2028, and assuming a normal election can be run, I doubt he can beat a much younger Vance. Plus, I plain don't like him.

Some future Dem administration - and I continue to hope there can be one - is going to have a great opportunity for a bonfire at the White House.

Meme creators, you have your instructions. Trump as Slim Pickens.

And how are "we" going to deal with it when Iran closes and mines the Straits of Hormuz?

Saddam was a pretty bad guy back in 2003, so even if he wasn't an imminent threat to the U.S., it probably polled well with Bush voters to take him out. How'd that work out for us again?

I fully expect someone in the "scientific" establishment of this administration to start referencing phlogiston before long.

I think that, by then, the goal is for Congress to be irrelevant.

This helps destroy the facade of unanimity that they want to convey. It would help if there were a united Democratic voice instead of the progressive vs. abundance factions.

"Thumbs up" used to be a useful gesture to communicate "all's good". Thanks to this clown, I can never use it again. Same with the misappropriation of the gesture for "ok".

Is anyone organizing a counter parade in the same area? Not to diss the army, but to show what is thought of the C in C and his co-conspirators in the dissolution of our democracy.

Nah, there's an exemption for this in the Big Beautiful Bill.

Is claiming, has been claiming all along. Does no one have standing to sue? Aren't there lawsuits pending? Why no injunctions against illegally imposed tariffs?

The admiral would have had a fighting chance against Boobert in her original seat in CO-3, but since running away to the far more conservative Eastern plains, Boobert probably has a pretty safe seat.

If this is a real threat, why are they using Nosferatu Von Göbbels to announce it? He has no position of authority, unlike the AG who would be defending it. Unless, of course, he's the one actually calling the shots here.

I thought the rationale for sending Venezuelans to ES without due process was they're members of TdA and part of an invasion. Have these Asians been given a deportation hearing? If so, why not send them to home country, and if not is there even an attempt at a legal rationale?

Is Texas doing anything at all to reduce injection of production wastewater and brine to reduce the seismicity in this region? Admittedly, almost nobody lives between Carlsbad and Pecos, but this area isn't too far from Midland-Odessa, where a M6 could be damaging.

How interesting that a term-limited president needs to raise campaign funds, especially right after his last campaign, which I haven't heard as being in debt. It's almost like it's just going into his pocket, somehow.
