Finally CNN reports the truth!!

Trump's biggest inaugural donors are already reaping their rewards: -Pilgrim's Pride ($5M) could benefit from deregulation of meat safety standards -Ripple ($4.9M) closed its SEC legal battle -Billionaire Warren Stephens ($4M) became UK Ambassador Everything is for sale.

Labour overturned a 4,500 SNP majority in Hamilton and the BBC spun this as somehow a victory for Reform. The BBC News department is not fit for public service.

Oooh! I know this one. Is it because they receive disproportionately favourable coverage on the BBC?

“That any of us have to care about the messy breakup of these two massive narcissists—and that they both individually wield such massive power—is an indictment of our political system and further proves the poisonous influence of Big Money on our democracy.” Robert Reich

Most Brits think we should stay in the ECHR and protect our British-European values… Makes perfect sense. And also- 1) It protects us from Trump-like behaviour with his own citizens 2) It underpins our criminal data-sharing with Europe. Leave ECHR and we’d become a haven for criminals.

Since becoming an MP, Nigel Farage has managed to fit in nine trips to the US, has held down twelve jobs, which earned him nearly £1million, but has been too busy to hold any surgeries for people in Clacton who actually voted for him.

This will probably come as no surprise to anyone but… www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/ref...

Appalling.

Here's something everybody should be paying attention to: Congressional Republicans are trying to weaken the Affordable Care Act and put millions of people at risk of losing their health care. Call your Senators and tell them we can't let that happen.

The SNP Lib Dems Plaid Greens Scottish Greens are all polling good numbers & some have had big electoral success. They control councils & the SNP leads a gvmt YET none get the coverage Reform gets with just 5 MPs. Demand fair b’cast coverage democracy at stake. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

🎶 Taco Taco man 🎶🐓🌮🐓🌮🐓🌮🐓🌮🐓🌮🐓🌮

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

It will probably come as no surprise to anyone to learn that Nigel Farage’s ‘£7 Billion DEI Savings’ Don’t Actually Exist bylinetimes.com/2025/05/30/n...

You can fine water companies as much as you like, but customers are still on the hook for their reckless debts. Time for Steve Reed to put Thames Water in special measures. www.theguardian.com/business/202...

A manifesto for ‘adults’ who believe in the tooth fairy. And hate what they don’t understand -which is a lot. Tax cuts paid for by scrapping Net Zero, the EU deal and DEI and deporting asylum seekers to god knows where at no apparent cost. This is ‘tip your country into the bin’ stuff. (The i Paper)

BREAKING: Kamala Harris, speaking in Australia, warns of the dangers of repeating the global mistakes of the 1930s, emphasizing the importance of international alliances and trust. The speech ended with a standing ovation.

Johnson’s “great deal” signed away full control of UK waters for a thin trade deal & good press. New agreement doesn’t increase access; it’s at the existing level, in return: smoother exports, fewer border checks, reduced friction 4 British farmers and food businesses. It’s a net gain not surrender

Way to go Greenland 👏 www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/greenla...

FFS.

Jenny Chapman, "We just cannot stand by and allow millions of people to be starved to death, when it's a choice" "It isn't a natural disaster like a volcanic eruption or an earthquake" "This is a decision by Israeli politicians to stop Palestinian families and children to have the food they need"

Timeless from Tony Wilson on the north-south divide.

The most high profile divorce the world has ever seen is underway. I wonder how they’ll split all the stolen data and most importantly, who will get custody of Putin?

Quite the opposite. First brave thing he's done.

I’m yelling at my radio again. WHY is Nick Robinson asking whether the small gains forecasted for the new EU agreement was “worth stirring up the hornets nest” of Brexit ? Are we all supposed to cower in the corner, afraid of Farage and his gullible followers for ever?

Thank you Gary Lineker for using the platform you earned with your talent and charm to stand up for some of the most victimised people in the world. You're a shining example to us all.

This EU reset underlines the key difference between Keir Starmer and the Faragistas: he can operate pragmatically in the national interest and defence of British values in a way that they can’t. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Kemi Badenoch is upset that Labour have cut some of the Brexit red tape that hindered businesses that her party spent so long putting in place

Errmm.. it’s much more of a reflection on the BBC than Gary Lineker. “This is a sorry end to a long BBC career. Gary Lineker was among the corporation's highest-paid presenters for a reason - he is popular with audiences, knowledgeable and brilliant at his job.” www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Thames Water: a water firm spending £200 million on lawyers to stop the government putting it into administration. Our bills are funding this – all so they can keep ripping us off. It's long past time for the government to step in and put Thames Water out of its misery.

Gary Linker once again proving that calling out a genocide is worse than enacting one in the world of the BBC

There's no placating the Brexiters, no reasoning with them, no basic comprehension or adulthood. You can't debate papers behaving like the Sun or the Mail this morning. There's nothing to debate with. They view all trading relations with Europe as humiliation.

"Farage is a midwife of failure. He is one of the root causes of the cost-of-living crisis in the UK. Farage’s policies have played havoc with our public finances and with our security. We need to call him out.” Stephen Gethins MP, talking to Bylines Scotland.

Turns out Brexit Derangement Syndrome is a thing after all.

This will probably come as no surprise to anyone but.. leftfootforward.org/2025/05/kemi...

Today's deal is a positive first step in rebuilding our relationship with Europe. The government must now face down the naysayers and dinosaurs in Reform and the Conservative Party and be more ambitious to go further and secure the best deal for our country.

It'll be interesting to see how Farage sells the removal of checks for farm exports as bad for British farmers....

Well, there is something wrong with his brain ...

Coverage of idiots claiming ‘betrayal’ or ‘surrender’ isn’t just bad journalism, it’s a dereliction of our duty to explain things. I’d actually forgotten just how bad it got but here we are, straight back to treating liars & spivs like authorities of equal weight to experts & honest brokers.

I’ll take the baby steps! Progress to Europe at last!😊✨🤝🇬🇧🇪🇺 www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Badenough says the EU deal takes us backwards. How about as far back as 2015? Then we can win the Referendum and plan properly fo COVID.

I'm with the Boss.......💙

GB News : "Brexit is a good thing?" Brexit Fisherman : "It's been a disaster" "But exports?" "Red tape is 100 fold, our main market is the EU" "But EU fisherman?" "They didn't come here" "But charge more?" "They can buy in the EU" "How would you vote?" "I'd vote for Remain in a heart beat"

Gary Lineker was forced out of the BBC because he opposed Israel’s genocide. Not because anyone actually believes he’s antisemitic in the slightest. I know it, you know it, and what’s more - the people who drove him out know it. New blog 👇 www.owenjones.news/p/gary-linek...

Exactly. Just as Tim Snyder always says about Putin.
