Nothing like looking at the weather forecast and seeing "Today is forecast to be cooler than yesterday: 95 degrees (feels like 100)" in New England in June.

*NEW MONTHLY RECORD* Boston has moved up to 101F, the hottest June day ever recorded in the city (since at least 1872). #wbz

Do you actually sit next to strangers on the train and tell them that you think their shoes are ugly, that you would rather read a different book, and that they’re definitely living their lives wrong? No? Then don’t do that shit on the internet either.

Three years ago, a corrupt Supreme Court seized our rights and overturned Roe v. Wade. The resulted is just what we predicted. Women dying because they can't get basic healthcare. Doctors afraid to treat patients. We will not stop fighting until abortion rights are restored.

If you thought the media was gross when they were campaigning for Cuomo, wait until you see them trying to bring the Mamdani administration down.

Do leaders from other NATO nations whine about their home news organizations when addressing the world stage, or just our special old baby? Can imagine reps from Finland, Poland, Denmark, et al hearing his “CNN is scum, MSDNC, blah, blah, blah” bit and wondering wtf he’s going on about.

*Democratic Party hastily commissions a study to figure out why so many people preferred the attractive, energetic, charismatic guy with the fun name to the disgraced vampire*

Wake up Democratic Party old guard establishment. This isn’t about New York City. This is the way the wind is blowing. Step aside for young people who this country will need over the next several decades long after you are gone. Enough with your egos and the big money interests.

LISTEN TO THIS SHIT: Republican Rep. Karl Bohnak isn’t just anti-abortion—he’s anti-autonomy. Asked directly if he supports a woman’s right to control her own body, he said “I don’t.” These extremists aren’t hiding anymore. They’re proud of their misogyny. Proud of their control.

Emil Bove told his people to Fuck the Court when it came to turning the planes around heading for El Salvador. Tomorrow he will be in congress trying to get a job as a Judge. First, he should be disbarred and secondly, he should be prosecuted.

"The people who hate this result the most are the Democratic establishment… poll after poll after poll showing Democratic voters fed up with their leaders in Washington…”

Jeff Bezos is worth $230 billion and is reportedly spending $20 million on a three-day wedding in Venice while sailing around on his $500 million yacht. If he can afford to do that, he can afford a wealth tax and to pay Amazon workers a living wage. Hello?

Way toooo funny....😂😂😂

You know what would encourage people to get more physical activity? No, it is not wearable fitness trackers. It is: 1. A liveable wage so people have time for it 2. Safe parks and other infrastructure for such activity But that’s too hard.

So I had a wee accident this morning and am now down with a broken leg for a while. I was waiting at an intersection to turn and a driver cut the corner and went straight into the bike which wrenched my leg and threw me off. If he had been driving faster I wouldn’t be writing this skeet.

Whenever I see Dems claim they are out of power, there’s nothing they can do, I think of Brad Lander and how he escorted people to court while being comptroller and running for mayor. Do something or get the f out of the way so there can be more Brad Landers.

Here's your periodic reminder that political centrism is nonsense. There is no middle ground between democracy and oligarchy.

The real question is how the hell we’re going to differentiate between an Iranian sleeper cell and an ICE Home Depot raid.

3.75 million children would have qualified!!😡 www.sacurrent.com/news/texas-g...

THIS IS FUCKED UP: Sae Joon Park took bullets for America in Iraq. The thanks he got? A one-way ticket out of the country he nearly died for. He’s being deported to South Korea—after surviving spinal injuries, PTSD, and addiction. He fought for America. Now America throws him out like trash.

New from me in The Atlantic - how SCOTUS's decision in Skrmetti is reviving an archaic line of reasoning on sex discrimination, which was used to justify & legitimize sex discrimination: www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

A Muslim son of immigrants might become mayor of NYC in part because he cross endorsed and supported a Jewish candidate and Black candidate, and vice versa. It's a beautiful American story for the rest of us. A nightmare for all the right people ;) It's so New York.

Zohran’s results so far just show how tired Americans are of the status quo, how we need creative, people-first campaigning and governance, and why positive, progressive politics are the future. Hate to get ahead of myself before results are called but I’m so freakin happy right now.

I like Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s “Helpful or harmful” game

Not only is hate driving Stephen Miller to vigorously push deportations, but he’s also set himself up to make money off of it. Miller has invested in the software company, Palantir who has several contracts with ICE. Notably, Palantir’s co-founder and chairman is none other than Peter Thiel.

Musk’s “Big Balls” Operative Just Resigned After Chaotic Turn in Washington 💥 He was 19. He called himself “Big Balls.” Elon Musk hired him to gut the government. Now he’s out — and critics say he left a digital dumpster fire behind.👇

"It is all hands on deck." Extreme heat is testing already strained electrical grids, and things are only going to get worse. We're calling it the Summer of Load. Read more from @zeitlin.bsky.social ⬇️

Anyone else sick of legacy media trying to be first instead of trying to be accurate?

Having mastered toilet paper supply chain logistics, large language models, Middle Eastern history, submarine design, and balloon dynamics, I would like to explain why I think the US military strikes in Iran obliterated the Fordow nuclear site while leaving Natanz and Isfahan largely intact...(1/37)

They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida. If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

the most ringing endorsement for Zohran Mamdani yet get out and vote or risk Trump's rich supporters and now his girlfriend having their pick run our city

Zohran Mamdani is inspiring hope not just in NYC, but nationwide. Hope that change is possible, that government can work again, and that billionaires can be defeated. It’s time we chart a new path, one where the government serves the people—not just billionaires and corporations. #DontRankCuomo

If ever there was a time for Democrats to right the wrongs of turning on the working class, it would be now, with a candidate like Zohran Mamdani. They could show the world they understand this moment. Instead, they put the full force of their party behind a disgraced politician of the old guard.
